KA1214-BRK USA Fighting Knife, Steel

I bought this as a graduation gift for my nephew that went into the Marine Corps. He loves it and uses it constantly. Its a KA-BAR... I knew it was going to be a good knife and the hard sheath makes it even better.

As others have said, might not be a sharp as it could be, but otherwise a good solid knife.

This is an outstanding knife. The weight and grip is very comfortable, the blade is quite sharp and the serrated edge is great for tougher materials. The butt also serves as a great pummel. Ive used it to pound tent stakes into the ground and it was perfect. The hand guard between the blade and handle does a great job and makes it easier to control the blade, not to mention do a great job at keeping your hand from slipping over the blade. Also the hard plastic sheath is much better than a softer leather sheath. The blade locks perfectly into the sheath and it feels very secure. I cant think of anything wrong with it. Its just a great all-around knife!

I agree with the others that this is a quality knife and the hard plastic sheath works great strapped to the roll bar of my Jeep.

Great knife so far. Cant really write a solid review until I stab someone with it.

I have yet to use this knife in a field situation but, Upon recipt of the knife my first thought was wow! Its weight and balance just felt right. The factory edge was sharp and ready for use. The sheath has received some bad reviews but I thought it was well suited for the knife. Mind you Ive not used the knife and sheath in the field, so I dont know how it would hold up, but on inspection it seems to be up for the job.

Purchased 4 of these as gifts to groomsmen, had their initials engraved on the blade. solid knife and sheath with secure lock. highly recommend
