> 3 dayIt was suggested that I purchase these spikes for hiking the trails here in Hawaii. I’m so very glad I purchased them as they provided much needed traction in the mud and on tree roots. They are well constructed of quality stainless steel and saved me from several slips/falls.

Greater than one weekThese slip on easily, fit well, and provide excellent grip on ice. Note these are not good for snow more than a dusting. They will clump in snow.

> 3 dayI am so happy with these! Because it’s hard for my fingers to get them on, I designated a certain pair of hiking books to leave them on and that worked great! You do want them to fit snug on your boot or shoe. It was so nice to walk in winter without fear of slipping on ice!

Greater than one weekThese are the best snow/ice/spikes on the market right now without actually buying crampons. I have worn through many pairs of yak-tracs before. These things are bomb proof.

> 3 dayUsed them just a couple days after I received them. Worked even better than I hoped they would on a very icy trail.

> 3 dayWorth every penny. My wife and I walk daily in the woods with our dogs. Lately there hasnt been enough snow to really use the snowshoes but there are patches of ice everywhere. After a few falls I went looking for a solution. The microspikes take all the drama out of walking in the winter woods. They go on easily and once they are on walking on ice is fun. No slipping and you get this nice crunch as the spikes dig in. The are also surprisingly good on rock. I was originally worried they might slip when I stepped on a rock in the trail but so far no problem. The medium size fits over my size 9 muck boots perfectly. Update: 2019 now and we still love these and use these almost daily in the winter. They have held up great.

> 3 dayA few years ago, my wife and I hiked down the Grand Canyon in the Spring. Much of the path near the rim was snowy, icy and slippery. It was very dangerous, and we should have turned around. Even though we foolishly continued, we did vow not to repeat our mistake in the future. When we returned to the Grand Canyon, we had Microspikes in our pack. When the path turned snowy and icy, we put them on and, hesitantly, advanced. It turned out that there was no need for hesitation - the Microspikes worked perfectly. They were secure over our hiking shoes and gave us very, very good traction on snow, on thick ice, and on thin black ice over rocks. We were delighted and have recommended them to friends and family ever since.

> 3 dayBeen wearing these all winter. I started with a cheap pair from Costco, that only had a bit of rubber to pull over the tops of the toe box, but they stretch and would keep falling off while walking. I got these for hiking in the hills and sometimes there is ice or snow on the north side of the hills. I put these on, and I dont have to worry a bit about footing or slipping. You can just walk and know that you have stable footing. The stainless steel is strong, I walked across the road in them and it didnt bend them at all. Just be sure to brush off the dirt and dab them dry before putting them back in the nice bag or you will probably have a bunch of rust next time you pull them out. I really like the bag, it is small and easy to carry in the back pack so that if I come upon snow/ice I can easily get them out and put them on.
