KAI Scissors 7250 10in Shears, Pictured

These scissors are AMAZING!!! Im a professional upholstery seamstress so I use scissors all day long and have to cut through some very thick fabric. For the past 10 years Ive used nothing but Wiss or Mundial Stainless Steel Shears until a local sewing supplier recommended these Carbon Steel shears to me. He let me sample the 2 scissors next to each other and it was a day and night difference, truly! While both scissors can cut through thick leather or denim with some ease, these scissors made cutting through them absolutely effortless, like cutting through butter. While the other scissors took a little extra effort. As far as the design of these scissors I love how light they feel along with the handle design. When using the other scissors my fingers used to hurt after a days worth of cutting because of the constant rubbing/holding of the hard metal handle against them but not with these scissors. They are so easy to use and not hard on the hands like the other scissors. Ill never buy anything else again as these are truly amazing scissors. Also, just as a side note: I purchased the 10 shears which work good but they are a 1/2 shorter in the cutting area compared to the 10 Mundial sheers. So if youre changing from Weiss or Mundial to these sheers then Id recommend getting the 11 as I notice the 1/2 shorter difference when cutting. I will definitely be buying more and would highly recommend them!

These are fabulous! I take them with me to sewing events and everyone who tries them wants the link to order some. Great great present for anyone who sews. Youll never want to use anything else. The handles are large and super easy to hold. Perfect size. Wish they had a case. I use the case from my old scissors to protect them.

Good scissors are getting hard to find. These are very nice. Glad I was able to find them.

First, let me say I love these scissors. (Can you love a scissors - well, turns out you can.) Pricey but worth every penny. My hands now get a bit stiffer than they used to and so I started to think I needed something else, maybe something sharper. Ive mainly used Ginghers, along with Singer and Fiskars and they have all worked well And Ive worked with lots of fabric types and leather over the years, making clothing, tents, sleeping bags, guitar cases, down jackets, upholstered chairs, shade sails, etc. Fast forward to the Covid pandemic. I was in the house every day staring at all those sewing and upholstery projects I hadnt gotten to yet and decided to treat myself and buy these. Wow. Whether you cut thru one layer of fabric or many layers, this is exceptionally dreamy to use. No lint build-up on the blade. No binding with layers. No squeaking. A very clean cut no matter what kind of fabric you are cutting and the pressure you need to apply is the same. My hands are thanking me.

Amazing fabric scissors!!! Worth the extra money. UPDATE: Have been really been enjoying these scissors for the past 2 years. It may sound odd, but I really look forward to using them in my sewing room. They cut through all kinds of fabric like a hot knife through butter. The are very comfortable to use, very well balanced and extremely sharp. Yes, Id definitely buy them again, but dont think Ill have to within the next 20 years or so unless someone steals them! <wink>

I am an owner of an upholstery shop and I brought a pair of these scissors 12 years ago and I just brought my second pair and all the reason I brought the second pair is I hired an assistant. Highly recommend

These are awesome! Lightweight and so sharp! I really love the Kai brand. They never disappoint!

These scissors are such a delight to use. They seem like heirloom quality and I could cut up every blanket and towel in the house theyre so fun to cut with. Its SO satisfyingly smooth. My mother-in-law is an avid seamstress and when I let her try them, her eyes got big and she said oooooo. She wants a pair now.

Best scissors ever. I have been a loyal Gingher fan for 35 years. Then i tried these. Wow. Night and day. I loved my Ginghers, they were old friends but these are light years ahead. They cut with zero effort through multiple layers. Zero hand fatigue. Im embarrassed how much I love these. You will be too if you sew or quilt much.

I make throw pillows for a living, so I do a lot of fabric cutting and trimming. After a year and a half in business full time, I finally realized I needed to toss my sub-par scissors and invest in a good pair. I purchased these Kai scissors, as well as a pair of Ginghers. I dont know what people see in the Ginghers. Mine are so uncomfortable to use. My Kais cut through fabric like a dream and they are comfortable to use as well. Highly recommended! Im going to purchase a second pair because my mom and my husband both help me cut fabric sometimes and we are always fighting over the Kais!
