I was hesitant to pay the price for a pair of 7200-series KAI scissors but they are the best and sharpest scissors you can buy. I have both the normal a serrated versions of these scissors. Keep your fingers away from the blades! They are razor sharp! I cut through eight layers of grosgrain fabric with ease. They balance well in the hand and they are comfortable to use for extended periods. If youve been buying G brand scissors, in the past, try these and youll never go back. If youre a professional or simply want the best scissors money can buy, KAI 7000 series are the ones you want!

My mother loves these shears, as she has been sewing for over 50 years. She said they slice through denim and heavy fabrics with ease, and if you are not careful, you can ruin you items because they cut so flawlessly and easily. She balked at the price when I told her the cost, but agrees you get good quality when you pay for it. She would recommend these to anyone, and Im glad I got these for a Christmas gift.

OH.MY.GOODNESS. Pattern cut out about 20% of the way, new scissors arrived, so I raced to my cutting table to try them out! (Dont worry, I had the scissors pointed down, never run w/scissors! LOL) Excited, I cut about 12 along the edge of a sleeve, and was so freaking impressed, I had to stop and write this review. These are amazing, JUST AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Cutting the fleece is like cutting through warm butter, no resistance, smooth as silk. The handle is incredibly comfortable, and sized perfectly for my hands. I can see me cutting many many yards of fabric with these scissors. I have a lot of trouble with my hands, and I can tell within a minute if the grip isnt going to work. The grip/feel of the KAI is pure heaven. So what was I using/what have I used before? Fiskars Softouch Spring Action Titanium Nitride Scissor 8 - they chew, they dont cut. Theyre horrid. Ginghers - I had Ginghers for many years. They were always too small for my hands and very uncomfortable/painful to use if I cut a lot, or cut heavy fabrics. They were better than the Fiskars, but oh man, the Ginghers never cut with the smooth flow of these KAI. Why did I buy the initial set of Fiskars? Well... I returned to sewing after a 15+ year hiatus. Reading reviews, I bought the FISKARS Softouch Spring Action Titanium Nitride Scissor 8 (~62.00) based on reviews. At the time, I also bought a little tiny pair of KAI scissors. I wasnt familiar with the KAI brand, but a quilting instructor swore by the little ones, and nobody I know sews, so I was sort of a green horn where scissors were concerned. My Ginghers were mauled by paper cutting children, and relocated to one of my childrens homes never to be seen again. :) Save yourself aggravation and discomfort. These 8 KAI Prof. Shears are everything you could wish for, and then some. Yeah, theyre 55 bucks, but youll get what you pay for! Those Fiskars are now 62.00 paper scissors, banished to the gift wrapping box... Call me a KAI fan forever.

Even though they are large they fit comfortably in small hands. Great long, sharp blades that so far cut through all kinds of fabric with easy. Especially work well with stretchy fabric.

As a professional seamstress I needed a great pair of scissors and these were IT. I loved my ginghers, but they were hell on my hand after a while. My coworker recommended these and they are everything: comfortable to hold, hold their edge (and Im writing this review after months of using these things almost every day), and cut like butter. The only thing (and its so small Im not even going to subtract a star for it) is that I wish it came with some kind of protective cover. The plastic it came in isnt going to do anything and I had to resort to a custom sheath to keep the blades safe. But Im a clutz, so this is probably more of a me thing.

The Kai 10 scissors are quite remarkable. I wanted these so I can cut through multiple layers of fabric plus batting - and they do! They are very comfortable and cut cleanly all the way to the tip with ease. They do not bind.

I have been searching for scissors as I am a seamstress of children’s clothing and I have gone through so many pairs of scissors because they either hurt my hand when I am cutting the fabric or the dull really fast. Once I use these I knew this was going to be my go to scissors they cut the fabric like butter and they’re very sturdy and they don’t hurt my hand at all.

These are amazing. I am a seamstress and have tried many well known brands of scissors and nothing compares to these. They cut through every weight of fabric including heavy wools and upholstery like butter. It cuts the edges of the fabric clean and smooth. Its also easy to use...doesnt strain nor hurt my hand.
