I have tried many of the auto switch brand as I have remote properties that I need to monitor and reset devices. I have had problems with WeMo, Blackloud, Amazon switches, and a couple other brands I have tried. Problems from apps that were not the best... to problems with the devices loosing there wifi connects.. etc.. which are all a disaster when your a long way away and cant unplug it to reset. With Kasa, I have only had this problem with maybe 2 devices out of 40, and they had to be reset. With the other brands I had failure rates up to 50 percent... and then some of the other brands couldnt find the device a 2nd time etc... With Kasa it seems very stable, no surprises, always works.. everything shows up on the app. So my multi year test and waste of money has come to an end.. I tossed all the old bad choices, and only use Kasa now.. I love automation. I even have these on auto car float chargers and that I just set to go on twice a week for 3 hours.. all works great. I just wait for sales on these and then load up more. Plus I have Alexa echos in my house.. and have all these linked up so I simple say use commands to turn on and off when going to bed.. also use the auto schedule for most items. Pretty cool.

I am very happy with the Kasa Smart Plug. I bought it to replace my Wemo Mini which I have had for about 3 years. Ive had problems with the Wemo as I would have to manually reset the plug and reconnect it to my network, especially when my internet goes out and comes back. Ive been using the Kasa plug for about a week now and have had no problems with it. My internet has gone out several times and I even had to reset my router modem to factory defaults. After I put back in the same SSID and password that I used before, I didnt have to set back up my Kasa. It automatically reconnected. As you can see from the pictures, the Kasa plug is shorter than the Wemo. My Wemo plug overlapped the wallplate but the Kasa is about the same width as the wallplate. I like that the button is on the side as well. Setting it up was very easy. There are no instructions in the box but on the box (see pic). I simply downloaded the app and followed the prompts. The app did seem to get stuck when it was connecting the plug to my network so I had to close the app and open it back and then it connected quickly. I also love the app interface. It is clean and I love the way the graphics look. The only thing I would say that I didnt care for was the blue led light. Im a person that needs complete darkness to sleep so I had to use black electric tape to take off the side. I wish manufacturers of smart plugs would put in an option to turn off the led light from within the app. Overall I am very happy with the Kasa as it was half the price of my Wemo mini, reconnects after my internet drops, and has a much nicer app interface.

As my home gets smarter I am glad that I got smarter and now purchase only devices that are very smart! No need for a hub to attach to the system. It works excellentlly with Alexa. All my plugs are easily listed in the app which controls them all. Naming them was simple as was getting everything connected. Ive been pleased with the Wyze family and I find their stuff works!

These are the first ever smart plugs I’ve tried, mainly to turn my lamps into “smart lamps”. While they work flawlessly there is one thing to note that whenever I turn on my lights using the app or by asking Google, there’s this ticking noise that can be improved. Also, I got two of these, both work but the second one seems to have some connectivity issues and sometimes it won’t turn on when I ask Google or use the app.

I use it on a lamp that is turned on and off quite often. telling Alexa to do it is much easiefr than gettin up and down over and over! ;-)

I am so happy with these plugs. If you download the Kasa app and follow the directions they are seamless and easy to initiate and use with Alexa. Yea for easy to connect and use. Earlier turned in a bad review for these plugs. And I apologize. It was because I was using the app for the plugs I was replacing, not noticing that these are Kasa’s. Kasa’s are super easy and reliable.

I bought this for my husband who is currently unable to turn the light on and off in the living room due to medical conditions, but this was rather easy to install. I noticed it was packed in a mini box and did not immediately see the instructions as the print was too hard for me to read. But I kind of knew right away that I needed to download the Kasa app based on different reviews online that Ive read on this product, both on Amazon and off other sites. Had created my TP Link Kasa account and then verified myself and was able to connect to Wifi on the Xfinity white XFI Gateway model and then went back to the Alexa App to link the two together. I maybe spent about 8 to 9 minutes setting this up but once it was done, my husband can now use the Echo Dot to turn off the lights. Previously he was using the clapper, which proved to be an issue with mobility and clapping. This was a bargain for the price spent and I may buy a few more in the future once I can expand our technology.

I have all my holiday lights plugged into Kasa plugs. I have them programmed to go on at sunset and off at midnight. Works like a charm. I have a couple house lamps that also go on along with the holiday lights. I love these plugs, it’s nice to come home and have all my Christmas lights on to greet me.

It works for turning on a circuit but you also must manually turn it off. I wanted it to replace a timer and to turn on a oil filled heater in my bedroom and then turn off the heater after several hours ( 4 or so) but it is not capable of that. You must turn the heater on manually with the app and then turn it off manually with the app every time. I might as well turn it on and then turn it off when needed. I usually need to make a trip to the water closet in about 4 hours anyway! Ill find a use for it somewhere in the future.
