Greater than one weekI got this for my daughters 5 gallon aquarium in order to turn on and off the light. It was really easy to set up through their app and so far (about 1 month later) works perfectly. I would definitely recommend it to all the people as you dont need to be an expert to set it up.

> 3 dayVery easy to set up. I attached all my Christmas lights and programmed a schedule. Never had to deal with lights for the whole season. Performs as advertised. Would highly recommend.

> 3 dayHave no idea what these people who had trouble settling up are talking about. Took me 5 minutes to set up and integrate with Alexa. This is my third one and they work great and are very reliable.

> 3 dayThis smart plug was really good, i can control the light in my closet as well as my desk lamp by voice control via alexa. It’s so great not having to reach to the remote every time i want to turn on the lamp. Make sure you have a really good wifi connection so your alexa has no problem connecting, but other than that i definitely recommend!

> 3 dayLove these plugs! I had been using one Amazon brand plug because I got a great deal on it. I then tried a Kasa tp-link for my second smart plug and I eventually gave away the Amazon one and just got a second Kasa plug. They are much more reliable with my wifi, they are smaller/better looking, Kasa can be used with IFTTT and the Kasa app is great. I highly recommend this product as well as Kasa smart bulbs.

> 3 dayThe product works well but not for my needs. I wanted to use it to power up my stereo but theres no way to keep my unit from defaulting back to thinner after power goes off. It would be great with a lamp.

Greater than one weekAs my home gets smarter I am glad that I got smarter and now purchase only devices that are very smart! No need for a hub to attach to the system. It works excellentlly with Alexa. All my plugs are easily listed in the app which controls them all. Naming them was simple as was getting everything connected. Ive been pleased with the Wyze family and I find their stuff works!

> 3 dayHow you connect it: download the Kasa Smart app onto your smart phone (available in the Google Play store for Android devices or Apple store for Apple devices...no PC/Chromebook/Linux options). The app will walk you through connecting to the plug, and will connect to your wifi. If you want to control the plug via Alexa/Google, then youll connect those services through the Kasa app, then jump into Alexa/Google app and find the new devices. (I did minimal setup in the app, preferring instead to schedule everything via Alexa/Google app so that device controls/settings are all in one place.) About the plug: there is an on/off switch on the side to manually turn it on or off. All this plug does is talk to the app and/or Google/Alexa to turn electricity on or off to the device plugged into it. It isnt smart beyond that; it cant tell Alexa the status of the device plugged into it or anything similar. Some devices wont retain their on state when theyre turned off, like a computer...simply plugging in a computer wont power it on. With this type of device, the smart plug wont power it on for you, because all it does is turn power on or off. This is what you can do within the Kasa Smart app: -Power devices on/off by tapping a power button in the app -Power on/off devices in conjunction with certain events like when you come home, sunset, etc. (called scenes) -Power on/off devices on any calendar day (so you could have something turn on in six months from now at 2:45 PM for instance) -Connect it to Alexa, Google, sensors, bulbs, locks, etc., including Samsung Smart Things -Push device firmware updates if available Im very impressed, Ive had a lot of smart apps that were very frustrating, hard to use or didnt want to pair with the devices or didnt want to communicate well with Alexa/Google but this one was very easy to use and worked perfectly.

> 3 dayI bought this for my husband who is currently unable to turn the light on and off in the living room due to medical conditions, but this was rather easy to install. I noticed it was packed in a mini box and did not immediately see the instructions as the print was too hard for me to read. But I kind of knew right away that I needed to download the Kasa app based on different reviews online that Ive read on this product, both on Amazon and off other sites. Had created my TP Link Kasa account and then verified myself and was able to connect to Wifi on the Xfinity white XFI Gateway model and then went back to the Alexa App to link the two together. I maybe spent about 8 to 9 minutes setting this up but once it was done, my husband can now use the Echo Dot to turn off the lights. Previously he was using the clapper, which proved to be an issue with mobility and clapping. This was a bargain for the price spent and I may buy a few more in the future once I can expand our technology.
