3rd Time is a Charmer
> 3 dayI needed a set up, that in the long run would be able to turn on and off my external hard drives, and a table lamp that sits behind my desk. I have several other TP-Link Kasa smart products, so that was one less app to have. I have never had a problem with integration or functionality with Kasa products. I ended up using one of the plugs for my wifes work laptop, but as you can see, there is quite a bit of space between each outlet. That provides more flexibility on what you want to plug in. Pros: - Adequately spaced outlets for potential larger plugs - If you have multi devices to plug in that you want smart access to, this is better than buying a normal power strip or surge protector and then buying additional smart plugs to plug into them (ie. buy a 6 outlet strip, only to have 3 individual smart plugs taking up all 6 spots on the strip) Cons: - Nice flat 90° plug for tight places, but I wish the cord itself was longer than ~36 inches. I ended up 3m velco taping it underneath the desk to keep it out of sight. - Price is a little on the high side. You could save a few dollars going the route I mentioned earlier (strip and individual smart plugs), but this is still more aesthetically pleasing, thus justifiable.

> 3 dayIts great that I can set it to only have one outlet on instead of the whole thing. And I can have Alexa turn each one on and off or I can do it manually. The lights are a bit too bright for having it in my bedroom. It would be nice if they were dimmer or there were a way to adjust the brightness of them. And it would be nice if the charging ports could also be turned off and on. I mean, I seriously dont need them to be on all the time. Ive considered putting a smartplug at my wall outlet to turn the whole thing off LOL And the cord could be at least a foot longer. So those things are all that keep it from getting 5 stars from me. Hopefully this review will inspire a few tweeks for future models :)

> 3 dayThis power strip works great as a power strip, but the connection is not consistent. Every so often I had to unplug and reset it to have a connection again. Ended up getting a refund when I tried to troubleshoot the problem.

> 3 dayWhat I really like about this power strip is the individual switch on each plug. So even if I don’t set it up as a smart plug to be controlled through Alexa, I can still turn on/off each outlet individually with the pushbutton switch next to each outlet.

Greater than one weekI love the Kasa products and the ability to have control when Im away and to also set schedules for the lighting. I take away one star because every now and then the products seem to lose contact with the app. At first, I thought it was a wifi issue but when I unplug and replug the outlet or bulb, it re-establishes contact with the app immediately. I also tried refreshing from within the app but that doesnt help. I put some of these plugs and bulbs in hard to reach places for the ease of use but if I have to reach the plug then there is no point. It doesnt bother me too much since it doesnt happen that often but it does happen.

09-06-2025Despite the other Kasa products I have this one for some reason was randomly turning on and off the appliances plugged into them, out of my control.

10-06-2025I purchased a similar Wi-Fi power strip from Walmart & it connected next to my router, but when I took it in the next room, it would not connect to the Wi-Fi. So I took it back to the store. & I found this one on Amazon & it was super easy to set it up & download the app. I like that it has a timer option or a manual option to turn it on or off. So far it’s great! And it worked perfectly for what I needed it for.

10-06-2025Kasa is a brand I’ve come to trust. They are easy to set up with the app, they work well with my network, and they last. The strip with individual smart plugs is brilliant for a small space, like behind the tv. A good value, I think.

> 3 dayI bought this to replace a dumb strip that I was using for my 3D printer and wireless interface/camera for it. I wanted to be able to set a timer and turn them off once a print finished at night while I was sleeping. This worked out great for me, minus the Alexa integration. You can setup groups within the Kasa app but those groups are not shared or displayed within Alexa. So dont waste your time making these plugs a group in the Kasa app, go inside Alexa app and make it there. Otherwise its fine, quick and responsive. The build quality is solid. Note that the USB ports are not high wattage so youll not get any fast charging on any of your devices. Overall its great, especially if you get it on sale
