> 3 dayThis solder arrived almost before I ordered it. I was very pleased as I had gotten some lousy solder and it was holding up a rather large radio project. Since I have the Kester 44, the solder joints are bright and shiney, and soldering is a breeze. Cudos to Kester, and too the supplier that made my day easier. ANG

> 3 dayI use a variable temperature soldering station(under the Xytronic brand) which I set to 550* F. The Kester 44 63/37 solder melts quickly at this temperature. It leaves nice shiny and strong solder joints. If re-work(desoldering) is needed it again melts quickly. The solder wire diameter/size/gauge at .031 inches works well for both SMD components and soldering different sized wire to switches, potentiometers, etc. It also works well with the cheaper variable wattage Stahl Tools(Parts Express) soldering station. There is only 1 complaint - there seems to be too much flux/rosin in this solder. After soldering for a few minutes my iron-chrome plated tip starts turning brown from flux/rosin residue. I have to turn up the temperature to clean it off on a sponge(I prefer not to use the brass wire tip cleaner on a hot tip). Because of this in the future I would buy the No Clean flux solder.

> 3 dayI use this stuff mainly for audio cables and equipment. I dont think Ive made a bad solder joint yet using this. Runs a little wetter than some of the other stuff Ive used, but that results in virtually no oxidation.

> 3 dayKester has always been great solder. I have always used lead based because that is all we could buy way back then. I suppose I should try not/lead sometime but why change when this works super.

> 3 dayI have been an amateur bench tech for 45 years. Every time I buy other brands solder I regret it. Kester solder with core size 66 in a 63/37 alloy and 0.031 diameter is the best all-around solder to keep on your bench. This is Kester part number 24-6337-0027. At a recent maker event, I would see people struggle with the solder they brought. I would cut off a foot of solder from my roll and they immediately noticed the difference. If you buy a roll, you will not regret it.

> 3 dayGreat for fixing weak solder joints, common with mandated lead-free solder. Contains lead!

> 3 dayThis is a good solder for electronics. This blend goes back to solid much faster than some other types. Id recommend it for both point to point and pcb soldering.

> 3 dayThe solder melts and hardens really quickly. It is a must by for electronic repair

> 3 dayI ordered some cheap solder and it cost more money due to the horrible solder job. I first thought it was me because Im a beginner. after trying Kester (recommended by You Tube video) my solder jobs look a whole lot better. Do yourself a solid and spend the money on GOOOOOD solder Kester is the best. I completely ruined my bullet connectors and had to buy new ones, money that could have been saved if only i purchased good quality solder.
