> 24 hourFor those looking for a good low-cost alternative to Dynamat, this is acceptable. I used both Dynamat and Kilmat on the same build. The Dynamat product was the Dynamat Xtreme. In contrast, the aluminum on the Kilmat is thinner and the butyl material smells A LOT like roofing felt... like EXACTLY like roofing felt -- definitely a bituminous odor. It is not overwhelming. I could only smell it with from about 2 away at normal temperatures By comparison the Dynamat Xtreme has ZERO odor. Nothing. The good thing about the Kilmat is that it sticks very quickly (used a heat gun to promote adhesion due to cooler outdoor temps but really did not need to) and the embossed aluminum makes it simple cut straight with one mark. Also, the packaging says it is made in the Russian Federation... so, those folks have a lot of experience silencing things so this will likely work very well. I just hope its not made out of Chernobyl chunks else my build will put a new meaning on the term radioactive.

> 24 hourWorks well, within its limitations. Its not going to turn your 90s tin can car into a modern lexus, but it was a pleasant change in my 2012 Miata, making everything sound more solid, the stereo sounds better, and marginally less road noise. Make sure to get the application roller tool, as its essential for proper application. One note, you dont need to entirely cover panels. One sheet or a large square on a panel will work 90% as well as covering the whole panel. The purpose of this is to dampen vibrations. It is not sound deadening mat, despite being labeled as such. For proper sound deadening you need something to isolate the sound. This is usually closed cell foam, or something like carpet padding.

> 24 hourWifes 2015 jeep wrangler unlimited always felt a bit overly rough. Not much has changed for jeeps since the 60s... ride is rough, noise levels are off the chart. Nothing about the jeep felt like a modern vehicle. After a recent drive we decided to change that. I ordered this product to try to reduce some road noise. Install was easy, cutting the product with a simple utility knife. Place and roll. The rubber under the aluminum reminds me of what you find inside door panels, holding the plastic film in place. Super sticky, forever flexible and messy... if you find it on your knees afterwards lacquer thinner will remove it. Overall install was easy, rolling all of it made my hands sore the next day. Loved the look of all the foil lined floor. I have not driven it since install, but the wife reports great improvements. Stating it feels like it rides smoother. Sounds much quieter. Shes happy, so Im happy.

> 24 hourPlease please use gloves while applying the mat , not latex gloves unless you want to fight the stuff sticking to you constantly, Im talking about some good gloves. I made the mistake of not wearing gloves because I feel things better without them, gloves just have never worked right for me . But man oh man this stuff edges are sharp I sliced and diced my hands up so bad , Im talking I look like I got into a fist fight with a razor blade lol ...No fault of the company, it does say wear gloves .. 100% my fault. Just a consumer, I wanna let you know WEAR GLOVES !! Besides that , love the product have used in both my vehicles and have recommended to friends . Easy to use Easy to roll and Easy to cut to fit (also easy to cut fingers haha)

> 24 hourI really like this product, it was super easy to lay out and trim to fit pieces where full sheets wouldnt fit. I could of taken more time and fit it a Bit better but in less than 30 minutes I did the entire floor of a 06 crew cab gmc 2500hd. I have not driven yet for noise test but just tapping on the floor you can instantly tell it will be helpful. My factory mass backing had water damage so I liked this for noise reduction and getting rid of the padding.

> 24 hourI had the rollup door on my Step Van removed, and replaced with diamond plate aluminum on steel studs, as you might imagine, this transmits sound pretty well. So I had Kilmat installed between the studs. If you knock on the back wall with your fist, it sounds like a dull thud on the inside rather than a tinny clang. Perfect.

> 24 hourIve used other products before - Dynamat, second skin, etc. They worked well, but were $$. This product is cheaper, perhaps just slightly less thick - though, not by much. It also sticks well and seems to quiet things down quiet a bit. Frankly, you can almost double it up and stay under the price of the other leading brands. I would suggest wearing gloves. The adhesive doesnt come off, but the material will slice your hands up - like paper cuts. Not a lot of fun. Aside from that minor gripe, the product really is a great value!

> 24 hourI used this on the floor of my car. Put a double layer down. Definitely muffled road noise but did not eliminate. I plan on buying a second box to do the doors and even the trunk. Im certain that will help even more but I dont think it will cancel all road noise.
