> 3 dayWifes 2015 jeep wrangler unlimited always felt a bit overly rough. Not much has changed for jeeps since the 60s... ride is rough, noise levels are off the chart. Nothing about the jeep felt like a modern vehicle. After a recent drive we decided to change that. I ordered this product to try to reduce some road noise. Install was easy, cutting the product with a simple utility knife. Place and roll. The rubber under the aluminum reminds me of what you find inside door panels, holding the plastic film in place. Super sticky, forever flexible and messy... if you find it on your knees afterwards lacquer thinner will remove it. Overall install was easy, rolling all of it made my hands sore the next day. Loved the look of all the foil lined floor. I have not driven it since install, but the wife reports great improvements. Stating it feels like it rides smoother. Sounds much quieter. Shes happy, so Im happy.

> 3 dayUsed one kit to completely cover the floor of a Sierra extended cab truck. Covered floor and up back of cab. Still had about 4-6 sheets left over. Throughly cleaned the metal and this stuff stuck right on. Doing it in the sunlight let’s you contour the sheets to fit exactly how you need. Overall pretty good noise reduction. My truck is a duramax with 5in straight pipe and axle dump and the drone is significantly less than before.

> 3 dayI almost went the poor mans way and bought Frost King Foam Duct Insulation, but then I saw this Kilmat sound deadening was about the same price as the Duct Insulation. Using prime, I ordered and received the package the same day. I found it was easier to work with this material with my bare hands as using gloves the adhesive stuck to the gloves making it difficult to install - once I took the gloves off it was much easier to work with the material. I also found it to be easier to use a good pair of scissors instead of a straight edge razor - the material is thin enough to use scissors. It was a cold day outside and when the temp dropped below about 42 degrees the kilmat material became much harder, so recommend installing on a day between 50-70 degrees outside. Also, the foil liner wasnt too sharp, I didnt have to worry too much about cutting myself using my bare hands. As far as it doing its job as a sound deadening material? I installed these in a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I can definitely tell a difference on the road noise, especially on the highway. Its probably a good 25% quieter, if not more. My doors feel heaver, have a nice THUNK when I shut them, and sound solid when I tap the doors with my knuckles. I replaced my speakers in my doors at the same time and I am very happy with the results - no rattles and great sound. I did two layers - one on the outside panel and one on the inside panel - maybe overkill, but I received 50 square feet, which was enough to do all four of my doors doing double layers. This is A+ material.

> 3 day2006 Dodge Charger Trunk Easy to install with the self adhesive. Use a roller to make sure its applied correctly. Live in Hawaii where its 85⁰ out. Went on easy, easy to cut, trim and mold around all the joints. Sound test after and the obnoxious rattle from the sub is gone. Used 1 box of the 50 sq ft 50mm Kilmat, completely covered the Trunk and 2 or 3 layers in trouble spots. Definitely going to be ordering more.

22-11-2024Please please use gloves while applying the mat , not latex gloves unless you want to fight the stuff sticking to you constantly, Im talking about some good gloves. I made the mistake of not wearing gloves because I feel things better without them, gloves just have never worked right for me . But man oh man this stuff edges are sharp I sliced and diced my hands up so bad , Im talking I look like I got into a fist fight with a razor blade lol ...No fault of the company, it does say wear gloves .. 100% my fault. Just a consumer, I wanna let you know WEAR GLOVES !! Besides that , love the product have used in both my vehicles and have recommended to friends . Easy to use Easy to roll and Easy to cut to fit (also easy to cut fingers haha)

> 3 dayI ordered 4 boxes for a total of 200 sq ft. I still have half a box left after covering the inside of my entire van with 2 layers. Its heavy but really high quality especially for the price.

> 3 dayIve used other products before - Dynamat, second skin, etc. They worked well, but were $$. This product is cheaper, perhaps just slightly less thick - though, not by much. It also sticks well and seems to quiet things down quiet a bit. Frankly, you can almost double it up and stay under the price of the other leading brands. I would suggest wearing gloves. The adhesive doesnt come off, but the material will slice your hands up - like paper cuts. Not a lot of fun. Aside from that minor gripe, the product really is a great value!

> 3 dayEasy to apply. Works as well as higher priced butyl sound deadener. Make sure to use a roller for best results.

> 3 dayThis product was very easy to work with. This is my third vehicle Ive installed sound dampening on. Ive used dynamat which works fine, but why pay more for essentially the same thing? This product comes in thin sheets. not a roll and can be cut with scissors. I preferred using a box cutter. Adhesion was great without Gavin to use a heat gun. I did use a roller though. This was installed on 2020 Cadillac xt5 on all four doors and the rear lift gate.

> 3 dayAdheres well if you actually do it correctly. I double layered every large hollow hole and it turned out nice and sound. The door no longer shakes at a idle.
