I have played every single Kingdom Hearts game on the market and this one is one of the best. Choose your character and experience the wonders of the Kingdom Hearts world. Play through classic Disney stories while discovering the mysteries of the keyblade wielders! A must have for any fan of the series, or anyone who just wants a fun game to play!

I have never played a Kingdom Hearts game, as I do not own a PS2, backwards compatible PS3, or NDS. However, when I saw this game was coming out I was captivated. I purchased it recently, and am playing it now. I love the story telling, and the ability to play through the game as each of the three main characters (each with their own storyline). The concept of an RPG with Disney characters is genius. The gameplay is simple and the boss battles are enjoyable. I love the way that each boss is representative of its respective world/disney story/universe. The game is challenging, yet ultimately very worthwhile.

This is the second KH game I have played, the first being 365/2 days. I was relieved that I didnt have to know much of the story to get into it (So confused with 365/2 days). I loved the story and the battle arena you could visit, and the worlds had a decent size map. I enjoyed playing with the different characters it gave some variety. The big con for me would be some of the mini games which some are mandatory to complete or to get 100 % completion for the game overall. I would recommend to anyone, and now Im going back to play the first KH so I can understand more!

I like the game. If youre a kingdom heart fan then youll like it. If you dont understand why this game is here, its part of the story line you can say. Look it up if you dont understand the story of how this adds into the kingdom heart series.

I bought this game after watching a gameplay trailer, to be honest I had great expectations of it. I thought the story would be deep and explain the origins of many unresolved matters of the KH I and II games. But it doesnt, it only confused me. The batte system is awesome though, also the item collection systems and the way you learn new abilities. But to be honest sidequests are limited, storylines are exteremly short and the plots are not as good as the past KH games. I saw them as a mediocre copy of the same storyline of KH I and II. I played only one storyline (out of three), after that I quite dumped my PSP system and put it back to my drawer, where it has remained for 4 months now. If you are a KH fan, go ahead and buy it: you will love it. But if you are just a gamer who liked the previous games and is wondering if this game would be good enough, DONT BUY IT. You will only regret spending the money.

As a PSP owner for a couple of years of now and also an avid fan of the Kingdom Hearts Series, Birth By Sleep the prequel to the Kingdom Hearts Series is a must have for any PSP owner. The graphics is just like the the first KH on the PS2 platform and I must say a very good job to the creators of Square Enix. There is no lag in game battles even though it can get intense while casting magic and creating melee attacks combined with aerial assaults to fight off the Unversed. For me I catch on details pretty quick and I analyze how things go and I must say that the game does a good job with the character voice overs. I have played the Japanese version and for the English version, I have trouble feeling the emotion of Aqua one of the main characters in Birth By Sleep. Its as if the voice over lacks feeling to what she says and as if dry when having conversations with others in each world. It can be repetative if trying to level up magic so that you can create abilities to use like Magic Haste, Hp Plus, etc, and you pretty much know when there are many enemies in an area so you can exit the location then come back for more exp points. But if you dont care about who played who, some repetative fights, and just want to smash, slash, use a keyblade, have intense times at the end, then this is a game for you. Overall I would say a 4.5/5

    Greater than one week

Let me first note, i have been a longtime fan of this series. I have played Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, and i am about to beat it with Aqua, and yes i know you have to play with all 3 to get the main plot. In anycase let me say in general Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep could have EASILY been on the PS3, its graphics are really amazing and as is the storyline. At first glance i was kind of mad about the voice acting for Aqua and Terra, but after awhile it seems like the voice actors make a great transition and you get a feel like they belong in the universe. For combat, i thought it would be complex with these new Battle mechanics but essentially it was very easy to get into after awhile because the controls are similiar to the PS2 controller except with a new SHOTLOCK system which is like a homing device for your character to get multiple attacks on the enemies. As for the bad, and my only two gripes with this game, was that the worlds were a little bit smaller, but i give this a pass because it is a PSP and the game designers can only do so much in one little disc. Also the boss fights can be REALLY difficult or the enemies, but that was most likely because they run a pattern, but it can be complex if you are underleveled. Overall this game is worth a buy and the full price if you ask me, because it is exactly a Kingdom Hearts style game, it has 3 different stories with 3 characters, some collectibles, new worlds which is definitely a huge upgrade over past Kingdom Hearts games and especially a hidden part of the game once you get all of Xehanorts diarys.

Nothing special but not too bad either. Just the endless repeating is kinda boring and the side-quests are not that great. Story was rather hollow and uninteresting but it was ok at times, i enjoyed it to some extent. Liked Aqua and Mickey the most. I consider 358/2 Days way better than this one. My favorite games are I and 358. Then II. The other games are decent but not a favorite.
