> 3 dayHaving played Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 years ago, I skipped most of the other iterations of the Kingdom Hearts series either because I didnt have the console (DS) or because the games just didnt seem to have the same appeal (Chain of Memories). Shortly before picking up my PSP I heard a lot of really great things about this game, with most reviews saying it had a good story, graphics, and an improved combat system, but a quirky camera. Having put almost 43 hours into the game, over the course of 10 days (having completed it yesterday), I can honestly say this game has been one of the most enjoyable Ive played in the last year. The game features a combat system similar to the first two Kingdom Hearts games, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. The story, while a little confusing because we follow three (playable) characters, is pretty good. I only wish I had remembered more about the first Kingdom Hearts, since its a prequel to the events that take place there (although if you havent played the other games in the series youll still do fine). Im once again a little embarrassed that Im enjoying a game featuring Disney characters, but Square once again merges the different characters together very nicely. Voice acting for all characters is decent to great. As noted above, Ive put at least 42 hours into the game, completing each characters stories, and the final episode, but could easily put a dozen hours more into the game getting further completion and in the arena (which is still enjoyable, even though I dont know anyone else with a PSP). All-in-all, I give this game 5 stars across the board. Square and Disney have really hit the mark with this game.

Greater than one weekI have played every single Kingdom Hearts game on the market and this one is one of the best. Choose your character and experience the wonders of the Kingdom Hearts world. Play through classic Disney stories while discovering the mysteries of the keyblade wielders! A must have for any fan of the series, or anyone who just wants a fun game to play!

> 3 dayI have been following the series since KH1, and this is a great addition to the series. Product came extremely fast. I had trouble originally because from the other seller I have trying to get this game from. Bought this game for a friend who is catching up on the series. So far she is loving it!

> 3 dayKingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep is yet another fantastic addition to the Kingdom Hearts series. The intro of this game has beautiful graphics along with the song Simple and Clean. This game consists of four modes for you to choose from, Beginner, Standard, Proud, and Critical Mode. If you are new to the Kingdom Hearts series I would recommend Standard Mode so you can get the secret movie at the end. For long time players either Proud or Critical Mode. The gameplay in my opinion would have to be the best combat system created thus far. The command deck is one of the best features. The voice acting was perfect for most of the characters. There is a lot of action in this game along with some mini-games here and there. Overall, 5/5. Great graphics and storyline. I recommend this game for all Kingdom Hearts fans and everyone new to Kingdom Hearts series as well.

> 3 dayI didnt get to play much of the game before my brother snatched it from me. And he has had a blast. Both of us didnt start gaming until about 6 months ago, so for him to stay with one game and actually progress at a steady pace is really good. He enjoys it a lot, its easy to learn, and its really fun.

> 3 day(To add perspective to my review, I am a 22year old male) Kingdom Hearts is one of the few series that manages to nail sequels, and Birth by Sleep is no exception. If you are a newcomer to the series or a veteran, this game will suck you in and keep you enthralled to the end. Every aspect of the game is a rewarding and enjoyable experience. I played the game through on the hardest difficulty (and struggled a good deal) and I found myself playing the mini-game board game (used for obtaining goodies for unlocking new moves) as a welcome relief to catch my breath before the next onslaught of chaos and darkness. Specifics though... Combat: Real-time, fluid, fast paced, combines hack and slash with strategy for a happy mix Character Progression: Unbelievable, this portion of the game resonated with me EXTREMELY well... you start with low level abilities or spells, and you can simply combine almost any spell/move via something called synthesis and presto, a new move! If you toss an item in the mix with the synthesis, it adds a perk such as invulnerable while casting heal or auto suck-in items that drop or even gain 1 exp for every step you take. The premise for these perks is, a spell starts at lvl 1, and by using it etc it levels up, (to lvl 3 or 4 max) and once it reaches that lvl, the perk attached to the spell is yours to keep and use forever, regardless or if you unequip the spell, or synthesize it into something new. Visuals: Gorgeous, a fresh batch of heartless were created with maybe 1 or 2 semi-familiar ones. The keyblades are new and full of wondrous intricacy. All characters have their own styles, animations, and even keyblade grip techniques. Audio: I forgot to pay attention to music, but it was good. The voice overs though....wonderful! Keeping strong in this tradition, dialog and voices actually drew you in and made the story grow deep. (as opposed to those games where youd press mute whenever anyone spoke to avoid embarrassment should someone overhear it...you know you all did it for KH1 little mermaid world haha) and by the way...LEONARD NEMOY is the voice of Xehanort! Thats Spock for those of you who arnt aware...but if you didnt know that, you probably wont care. None the less. Quality voice actors (which is surprising for a mobile game) Story: great, I wont say anything else but it kept me playing for sure. 1 Complaint: The game is broken up so you select 1 character out of 3 (Ventus, Terra, Aqua), play the entire game through them start to finish and see the story evolve from their perspective. Say if your Aqua, you arrive at ???s planet or world and maybe Terra has already been there, so youll be learning about what he helped with while he was there and what needs doing from where he left off. This is fine and feels good and like a full experience...however. Once you beat the game all the way through, its hard to motivate yourself to now pickup the next character and re-visit all the worlds and replay the entire game, granted it is DIFFERENT, with all different experiences, you still see the same worlds and are a part of the same over-all story, all be it from a different perspective. The 3 perspective approach is a great idea, but if they were all together, so you had to (or could choose to) skip back and forth between each character and complete events in chronological order, this would allow you to experience all their stories without replaying the game. Minor fault though...I played it, loved it, will pick it up again sometime for a replay, but instead of replay it will be new with a new character and story...so excellent replay value atleast 3 times!

> 3 dayKingdom Hearts is one of my favorite series of all time. This game is no different than the others. I was impressed at how the game is quite seamless in its controls as a result of having less buttons to press. Great Story and the graphics look great. The game play is impressive. Lastly the storyline is great. My only reservation about the game is that it seems too short and a bit repetitive based on how the game is set up (3 playable characters with intertwined stories). Overall I would give this game a 9.5/10.

> 3 dayIve checked around, and this problem is apparently common among Birth by Sleep owners. But its also misunderstood by people who never experienced it (theyll give helpful advice about how your hand is probably too close to the Home key or youre pushing too hard against the back). For those of you who havent had this glitch its like this: In the middle of the game (sometimes several times in the middle of a battle, without pausing, making you lose), it pops up as if you pressed Home. Only, I did several experiments. I went through a situation where I figured it was gonna do it (top three besides battles are when you try to Install the software, moving between screens, pausing to the menu screen) and put the PSP on Hold. No way I could have pressed Home but it did it anyway. So then I thought maybe somethings wrong with the memory card? Popped it out, and the game still did this. Could it be the PSP? Nope. It did NOT run this way with any other game I tried to play. It seems to be the UMD itself too, not the software or firmware or anything like that. Im likely going to need to buy a new disc.
