Greater than one weekFor 9 dollars, its a decent buy. Crystal mark shows on my laptops usb 3.0 port (Intel USB) a read rate of 109 MB/s and 10.75 MB/s Real world data transfer of a 13 gig virtual disk file however shows a fairly sustained 10 megabytes copy rate to the drive and a disappointing 76 meg/sec copy rate from the drive back to the SSD C drive on my laptop. I didnt buy this for speed though. I bought it because its 16 gigs for 9 dollars and for that, I cant really fault it. I wish the actual use read speeds matched that of the synthetic benchmark.

> 3 dayI have two of these. They work fine under Win 7, Win 10 and Ubuntu 18. But are extremely slow under FreeBSD 11.3+ and systems build on FreeBSD 11.3+ core (like FreeNAS), as it has different USB driver not fully compatible to Kingston DataTraveler sticks. Same issue is claimed by other owners of Kingston DataTraveler on FreeBSD and FreeNAS forums.

Greater than one weekI love Kingston products. Never had any issues. This flashdrive is easy to use. Holds information well. The only thing I find a bit disappointing is that speed in transfer is a little slower than what I expected and used to. Other than that its a great product with fair price.

> 3 dayA well-made product. Plastic is tough. It slides very well when opening and closing. It has the typical blue color of USB 3.0 inside. Excellent product, 100% recommended. Later I will see the speed of writing and reading data.

12-06-2025This USB drive is an excellent value. You dont have to worry about losing the cap as an attached sleeve slides over the USB connector when not in use. Additionally, the drivers install quickly and easily. However, you may not want to use this drive to create a bootable copy of Windows 7. I discoverd during while reformatting my computer that there is an issue unique to Kingston DataTravelers that causes a driver error when attempting to install Windows 7. There is a work-around that involves unplugging the flash drive during installation, but I would recommend looking for a different brand if you want to create a bootable USB.

> 3 dayI purchased this for my son to use on his computer for game/other storage. Kingston advertises that this USB has 64GB of storage. But, when he ran a test on it, it only shows 57GB available storage. I understand that a small amount, maybe 1-2GB, might be used for various things by Kingston. But, to use up 7GB of storage on this device is too much. If you advertise 64GB, it should actually have 64GB available storage. This USB works fine as it comes, for storing individual files under 4GB, without having to make any changes in settings. My son had to use Windows command run prompt, to change to NTFS, in order to store individual files that are over 4GB. If a file is over 4GB, the formatting of the USB won’t allow it to be stored, unless you make these changes in settings. The writing speed is fairly fast. He said it reached up to 24.9MBS. Has place on one end to hook to chain or key ring.
