> 3 dayGotthese to put operating systems on so I could try them out before I picked one, and to show my father-in-law the better OSs. These are great for this sort of use. After I will use them for pictures, etc on trips. I would say that Kingston is a good name brand and they have never let me down in the past.

> 3 dayWhen I get flash drives, I typically go with Kingston. Theres not too many companies I would say have gained a brand loyalty from me, but Kingston has been one of them. Over the last 10 years, Ive had three Kingston drives, including this one, and they all still work (I just use them for different tasks), and Ive always managed to get them at a reasonable price. Its a flash drive, theres not a whole lot to say about it, but it works, and Ive had a pretty good track record with other Kingston products in the past.

> 3 daySome of my projects require transferring a large amount of data, and my 32GB flash drives were no longer keeping up. Ive always had good luck with Kingston so I didnt hesitate to order (both a 64GB and 128GB version). I only wished I would have read the other reviews before doing so. I had to transfer about 80GB of data so I plugged the drive into my Mac Pro. The machine recognized it, although it took a good 5-10 seconds before it appeared in the list of drives. I started the transfer and after reviewing the files told me it would take about a day to transfer. Ha - ok, Ill let it run overnight. Looked at it the next morning and it was still going! No joke. I had to do a repeat of the transfer and this time grabbed a small external USB 3.0 256GB SSD hard drive. I plugged it in and the computer saw it immediately. I started the transfer and it told me it would take about 40 minutes. I dont have the exact time that it took because I stepped away. But it was less than that. The speed with this flash drive is not what Im used to with other USB 3 devices. Im glad I didnt spend much on them because they will probably be put in the drawer and forgotten about!

09-06-2025I used these to back up my prone-to-failure hard drive before installing a new computer. I was able to transfer everything needed on only one flash drive. Works well and good price.

> 3 dayFor 9 dollars, its a decent buy. Crystal mark shows on my laptops usb 3.0 port (Intel USB) a read rate of 109 MB/s and 10.75 MB/s Real world data transfer of a 13 gig virtual disk file however shows a fairly sustained 10 megabytes copy rate to the drive and a disappointing 76 meg/sec copy rate from the drive back to the SSD C drive on my laptop. I didnt buy this for speed though. I bought it because its 16 gigs for 9 dollars and for that, I cant really fault it. I wish the actual use read speeds matched that of the synthetic benchmark.
