> 3 dayThis review is for the 16gb usb 3.0 model. The sliding mechanism is stiff at first use, but seems durable. Feels a bit light and cheap but for the price its very good. i bought mine to use to conduct linux installs. The speeds are decent for the price. If i can find my crystalmark test data i will upload update this review, but for now i can say that the speeds are as expected given the other reviews on amazon with crytalmark images.

Greater than one weekI have used this drive now for a few months and it has worked as it is supposed to each time. I didnt buy it for speed, I bought it for music and to transfer files. I am happy with my purchase.

> 3 dayThis 128GB Kingston thumb drive has held any storage I have needed to keep on it for the past year and a half. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Greater than one weekI bought this looking for a basic USB 3.0 thumbdrive and what I got was a device slower than my old USB 2.0 devices I already have. It is marketed as COMPATIBLE with USB 3.0 but every USB stick is compatible. It has all the pins for 3.0 but the internal flash memory reads and writes at speeds slower than my old 2.0 drives I have lying around. I expected better from a Kingston product. It was cheap is the best feature

> 3 dayIt gets the job done, but it’s a bit on the big side when compared to some other options. The sliding mechanism is not very smooth, but it works. Good price for the amount of memory though.

> 3 dayI should have read the reviews more carefully. I have used an older Generation 2 Kingston DataTraveler since 2014, and it has always been great, so I trusted the brand. However, this generation of the device is... awful. It is incredibly, incredibly slow, both to read and to write. Sluggish. Unusable. Opening a folder takes 20-30 seconds, even if the contents are virtually nil. I dont have to run a speed test to know that something is terribly wrong here. Im not trying anything too sophisticated... I just wanted to open a PDF, and that shouldnt take three minutes of my time. Furthermore, this drive spontaneously shuts off when not in use. Every morning that Ive had it plugged into either my work PC or my personal Mac, I wake up my computer to a grumpy alert about unplugging it without properly ejecting it... even though it is still plugged in. Im sure there must be some way to disable that feature, but honestly, the drive is so slow that there is no point in me researching that, because I have already ordered its replacement. This is bad. Stay away.

> 3 dayok so i bought 5 of them 1 of them broke right out of the gate major total fail and is not functional at all im actually pc tech and i have no clue why or what broke. it seems to have lost the ability to be written to and is locked in a no drive setting so the space is there but you cannot fdisk format for fix it in anyway the others work decently but are kinda slow feel like2.0 not 3.0 so maybe mis marked useally kingston is pretty good maybe i got some bad batch? i have no idea so 3/5 stars this round guys . if you really need something this will work and is easy to use 0 effort .
