Kingston 480GB A400 SATA 3 2.5 Internal SSD SA400S37/480G - HDD Replacement for Increase Performance

Opened box, installed, cloned old hdd and done. boot up times decreased dramatically. Much faster than old HDD.

Switching my OS to this drive from an HDD has made my computer boot so much faster, and it loads games installed on it way faster than the HDD. I think back to all the time I wasted sitting around waiting for platters to spin when I could have just installed an SSD.

I bought a HP Pavilion 17-G015DX 3 years ago. For the last year, it became increasingly slow. After it kept taking 2 minutes between clicks, I decided to upgrade the RAM and get a SSD.

With my oldest child starting school, I decided to upgrade an old Asus X551 laptop my wife and I were no longer using. Between upgrading the ram from 4GB to 8GB and replacing the HDD with this SSD, the laptop is very usable for the stuff she uses it for and hopefully she can get a few years of use out of it.

Honestly buy it!! It does the job amazing!! price crazy cheap compared to a lot of other ssd drives which could make you skeptical but trust me its a gem!

Not much to say about these. They just work. Kingston had become my go-to for inexpensive SSD upgrades on older machines, and Ive used them for over a decade now without issue. I came into the SSD era with some confidence in SanDisk based on past experience with their hardware, but over the last 15 years or so, Ive experienced around 50% failure rate with SanDisk, in both SSDs and SD cards.
