Komelon SL2816; 16 x 3/4 Self-Lock Tape Measure

Really nice weight and feel and size.

I really wanted to like this tape measure. Reviews were solid, and Im a fan of the push button to release. However there are two major problems: 1. The hold isnt very strong, so it often retracts on its own. 2. The metal tape itself is quite flimsy. All I want in a tool is for it to work. This falls short. On the hunt for a higher quality tape.

This definitely does the job. Much easier to lock than other tape measures. Easy to read. Easy to find and no one steals it because it doesn’t look like every other tape measurer! Haha

When you purchase a lower-priced product, your expectations are low, however, I was delighted to learn that the product performed as well as the highest-priced product. Looks good too.

Maybe my fault for assuming the top rated tape measures would include metric measurements as well. Still not particularly easy to read. The build quality seems good enough for the price.

I say for the price this is a decent, 4/5 star, measuring tape. The tape itself is pretty flimsy and gets pretty annoying when the length goes over like 20 inches. Would be a lower score but you get what you pay for. Does the job for measuring household items and areas.
