I love this style of tape measure which locks automatically. Push button to retract. I have a couple now and these are the only ones I use now.

Excellent measuring tape.

The tape itself is very nice and easy to read. The self lock function is working perfectly (although mine is still quite new, so I dont know how long it will hold up). I purchased this at Wal-Mart, and would recommend the same for others, as it was $4 cheaper at the store than ordering here on Amazon. Im quite surprised with the huge price gap. Stanley had similar self-lock tape measures for relatively the same price. I do like the feel of their lever located on the bottom for retracting more than the button on the top of this model, but this one is both more eye-catching, and I liked the way it feels in my hand better than the Stanley version. For under 5 bucks, I feel this is a great tape measure.
