Greater than one weekIt takes a while to get used to the automatic retention of the tape when you pull it out. all and all its a good tape measure, especially as an add on item. I have 3 or 4 all over the house

> 3 dayI will say, on the first two days, this is a five star tape rule. On the third day, the blade cracked and rendered it useless. It eventually broke off and sent the remaining end of the tape into the surround. Self lock feature worked well, and I was also very keen on the high visibility color of the tape itself, as well as the outer surround. Long story short, I bought another one and the blade broke again, so I bought a Stanley.
