> 24 hourWhat a beautiful set of shimmery foiled colors ranging from an ice white to a deep gold. You do need to play with them a bit because based on how much you work the color up with water, you can get a sheer look or a deeper opaque one. Stunning any way you use it. I am not a painter so I know people will compare them to more professional brands but I am pleased and the price point to output is acceptable. I don’t think anyone would be displeased with these in their stash.

> 24 hourI wanted these paints to try over black watercolor paper and they covered fairly well. It was interesting how the glitter effect reacted with the water. I had to use a couple of coats in some areas so that there was not a streaky effect, but for the price they are fun. Have not tried on regular white watercolor paper yet.

> 24 hourThese are very pretty! I would say that this set is more like a sheer pearl shimmer set, and is not very thick. Meaning you would need to do multiple layers if you wanted a really opaque sparkle effect. Good color choice, though the lightest color is more of a pearl white and not a silver. I suppose the name is white gold, but to my eye it looked more silver. I will need to look elsewhere for a true silver. The pans are large and easy to get paint from. I love the pan sizes of Japanese watercolors. This is a great set for the price! Ive swatched these on Strathmore black mixed media paper

> 24 hourSuch beautiful colors! I like the color selection. I wanted a way to add gold to my cards and this paint is amazing! You have a large selection and the paint can be opaque or translucent depending on how much water you use. It came with 3 sets of the same color and is just gorgeous! I highly recommend!

> 24 hourOk so overall, this product is worth the money. Shimmer watercolors are not common or expected in color palettes and not too common in general. The formula for these is workable and has incredible pay off for the glitter. The color range is more dramatic on paper, I was worried bc the 04 and 05 look similar in the pan. The coverage is amazing for 01 and 04 just incredibly thick and opaque in one layer. 02 and 03 is a little patchy but a second layer fixes that. Then 05 and 06 are very sheer however that is expected/wanted from the light colors. I compared my acrylic gold ink ($7 on clearance so its the cost of this whole pallette) to 02 and its almost a perfect color match. My ink is more opaque but its acrylic so what do you expect. In conclusion, if you need a gold pallette for those special details: this is the pallette for you. Honestly just buy it for 04 because man thats just such a good pay off for a gorgeous champagne color.

> 24 hourThese gansai watercolors have an intensely brilliant shimmer compared to many of the metallic and pearlescent watercolors Ive had the opportunity to try. Superb watercolor binder and flow (reworking after its dried is no problem, as long as the paper will withstand it). Very glad to have gotten these and would recommend (but Im not a professional, so YMMV) The aqua watercolor is the 904 Champagne Gold. The purple, orange, & blue watercolor is 905 Light Gold the burgundy & teal watercolor is handmade inks with 902 Red Gold

> 24 hourThink it’s a bit pricey for the amount of paint you get

> 24 hourThe colors are terrific however they take a lot of time and water to activate. My complaint is the packaging. The plastic pans are set in a thin cardboard tray but are bigger that other full pans so they don’t fit in a standard palette box. (Pic is a comparison to White Nights full pans). Got to find a tin they will fit in. Huge pans does mean good value for the money.
