    Greater than one week

The box didnt come in plastic, and just had a plastic circle sleeve to hold the lid down. There was creasing and a slight tear in the cardboard box but overall nothing bad and it arrived in good condition. The paints arent cracked or chipped and everything else was perfect.

I’m new to watercolor but I really like these. I’m not a fan of water color pencils and the cheap watercolors are not what I wanted either. This is a great next price up option. Will definitely be getting refills for my set. Would be 5 stars if had an option for travel. If the box even tilts they will be all over the floor….

Japanese watercolors are different from the rest of the world. These paints never dry leaving harsh lines (barely any granulation), making this set perfect for beginners and professionals alike. Take a peek at the pictures Ive uploaded & and see if you can tell the difference in which paintings I used the Kuretake brand versus European brands. There are only three. Scroll down to see which: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 1. The slender house. 2. The girl with the red hat walking her dog down the snowy path 3. The little birdie that just landed on the branch (*framed) Did you guess right?

The Paint is great, the pans are very loosely placed in the box, and the color names dont all match the numbers on the. bottom of the pans. A wee bit confusing, you just have to go for it it and disregard the color names. Make you swatch and then try and remember to put the paints or keep them in the same place in the box. You cant tell the color of the paint by the color in the pan (some you can, but mostly no) Its a color painting adventure for the patient user. If you are impatient, try another brand.

Very impressed with this pallet! As a beginner I don’t have much experience but I was using cheaper liquid paints before and was looking for an intermediate quality that was affordable. I am very satisfied and now that I have started using better brushes (Princeton heritage) and paper (arches cold press) I am loving the results!!!

I love painting with Kuretake watercolors. The colors are vibrant and do not fade as much as other brands I have tried.

I like the large design of the pans. Beautiful and brilliant unique colors that still look very natural. It has a few very unique colors you wont find in other brands in a 48 set. Would like to see this in a tin like the Caran d Ache Neocolor II. BECAUSE OF THE SPECIAL COLORS I AM LOOKING FOWARD TO SOME DELICATE SUBJECTS PAINTING LIKE FLOWERS ETC.
