Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors, 48 Colors

So enjoyable. Great value.

Personally, I think this is great value for money. The colours are intense and deliver a very attractive finish. You receive a good amount of product. I have been painting for some years now, and typically use tube paint, but I pick up this palette a lot because it produces such pleasing results.

These are my favorite watercolors, will buy more in the future.

I’ve tried a lot of different watercolors, but found most were chalky and flat looking. Then I tried Kuretake Gansai Tambi. They are awesome. I’m putting these 2 on my Christmas list. They have a lot of new colors in them!

This paint is very vivid. I you are the type of person that likes to mix paint before use, this is not for you. On the other hand if you are like me and ignored ever college art professor warning about mixing paint on the paper (or letting colors bleed together) this paint is for you. This paint blends very well.

These are simply wonderful. Re-wet very easily, rich pigment, smooth and creamy feel. You can go from opaque to varying degrees of transparency - they are so versatile. Dont be turned away by what I have seen others call a thin layer of paint in the pans - the pans are larger than even a standard full pan watercolor, but much shorter. The result is that there is still about the same amount of paint. Additionally, the colors are so concentrated that this paint will last a long time and allow you to create hundreds of paintings. The packaging is elegant and practical - they are presented so beautifully that all youd need is a ribbon wrapped around the box when giving as a gift.
