> 3 dayIf you’re looking for traditional, translucent watercolor paints then this set isn’t for you. If you’re looking for something new, then try these traditional Japanese paints. The pans are nice and big, so your brush doesn’t get all jammed up like in an almost-empty watercolor half-pan. The colors are nice and the paint is a little opaque. Some of the colors feel almost chalky and some have a sheen to them when dried.

> 3 dayThis was a gift for my niece, till the day don’t give it to her yet but I got it before the estimated delivery date, I opened it and this watercolor look beautiful so I’m just hoping my niece likes them and creates incredible pieces of art.

> 3 dayAfter my previous pallet went missing I was really looking forward to using this one. The colors looked great, it was huge and even featured metallics. Then I actually tried to use it. The biggest issue is the patchiness. The paper can be completely dry and the second I would attempt to paint over a previously laid down layer all of the watercolor would be picked up by the brush and move around so there was never any solid pigment. The pigment itself is both way to sheer yet way to opaque. The moment I would water down the paint it would become far to sheer to really use and I would have to use layer upon layer in order to attempt to get an even decent color yet due to the previous issues the pigment never became opaque and was just patchy. It’s so unfortunate because not only does the well it’s self look very pretty but it is also pretty expensive. So honestly just look for a better brand with the same color palettes.

> 3 dayUnique paints, very fun. Different from Daniel Smith or other higher end paints. I enjoy them for quick illustrations. The color combo is very pretty! These are great if you dont plan on mixing much.

> 3 dayI love these watercolors. These are my 2nd set. I originally had the 36 set. Its nice to have new colors and professional colors like cadmiums, cobalt, and quinacridone. They’ve really stepped up their game. I love the big pans and find the paints have plenty of pigment. In my travels I’ve come across many professional artists that own these as well. I look forward to using all these new colors

> 3 dayThe paint had black marks in a lot of the colors. Also the paint pots are not full. They look to maybe contain a quarter of product in each little pot. Disappointed.

> 3 dayI’m a watercolorist and wanted a more opaque paint that wasn’t gouache. They take some getting use too, you can’t approach them the same was as watercolor. A little goes a long way and they blend so beautifully. I paint with watercolor and then use my kuretake for my darks and my opaque pops of color. I highly recommend. They aren’t lightfast, so I would recommend a varnish if possible.
