> 24 hourThis hard drive is super fast at collecting data when used as a back up drive. Durable and easy to hold. Highly recommended!

> 24 hourGreat product and this is the second one I have. This has now got all my movie collection on the drive and is quick enough for streaming services such as Plex. 5TB is not that much more that the 2, so it seems like a no brainer.

> 24 hourThe 4gb storage is great and so is the rugged durability. I have several of these now - one for photos, one for music, etc. The portability is very convenient.

Bad experience
> 24 hourEven single time I bought goods from Amazon, it is perfect. Unfortunately in this time, they sent the product WITHOUT a simple carton box which making me very upset. Especially it is an external hard drive, it is something Fragile

> 24 hourBought this drive with the reputation of LaCie (having 3 more such drive with Thunderbolt 2 and USB 3.0. Never had issues until I bought this specimen. Not only it is not recognized by a regular OS drive utilities, but it actually asks you to use their Seagate, obviously not LaCie utility. Horrible experience. Never buy this drive. Being using LaCie on Mac, Linux and Windows with the OLD LaCie -- never had a problem. Seagate screwed up the copmanys best lines of products. But them what is new. This one is not recognized as a 5TB size by anything -- neither Mac, Linux nor Windows. What kind of fresh hell is this? Seagate? What the hell product did you come up with, dear Seagate? Is it an apple, pear, orange or simply a flop? Why? It is not enoigh the Google owns you guys, you just have to give in to your precious data storage too -- Seagate. Once exemplary, now the bottom of the hole. Will NEVER BUY LaCie after Seagate flop miracle!!! Suggest DO NOT BUY to anyone who respects themselves as specialist in the field or simply advanced consumer. APPARENTLY SEAGATE CAN BUY 6 GOOD REVIEWS, BUT CAN YOU TRUST THESE AT ALL? NO RESPECT FOR SUCH COMPANY FROM ME! With disrespect Very disappointed customer!!!

> 24 hourJust wanted to post a warning....this product comes up first when searching for a Thunderbolt 3 HD on Amazon, which I did, searching for an external HD to use for Time Machine backups on my new Macbook Pro 16 (2019, with 4 Thunderbolt 3 interfaces). THIS DRIVE DOES NOT HAVE A THUNDERBOLT 3 INTERFACE, rather, it comes with a Thunderbolt 2 /1 integrated cable, permanently attached to the drive. So, if youre looking for older Thunderbolt 2/1 compatibility, then youre good. Otherwise, if youre looking for Thunderbolt 3 speeds, DO NOT TREAD HERE. Fortunately, it also comes with a USB-C port, and a cable, so you can still use it, just at a slower speed than Thunderbolt 3. USB-C = 10Gbps. Thunderbolt 3 claims 40Gbps. As of this writing, youll have to pony-up upwards of $350 for a 6TB external HD that claims to support true Thunderbolt 3 (on Amazon, at least). Suggest checking elsewhere, at the time of this writing.
