> 24 hourGreat affordable drive. Use it as an external bootable Windows 10 drive via bootcamp. Not trivial to get a system out there but there are instructions on the web on how to do it. I have other (2 and 4 TB) drives of the same make and they also work great for extra storage and as TimeMachine drives. Over the years that I have had LaCie Rugged drives, Ive never had one fail (unlike other makes that have failed).

> 24 hourIt got all the features you want to transfer pictures and videos, but not very good for traveling companion like the DJI Flydrive. It requires external power to use and traveling places would be difficult. Not portable enough like Flydrive.

> 24 hourThis is my second external SSD from La Cie. I use them as redundant backups, and they are almost as fast as my internal SSD. Compact size, rugged external housing, and in the case of the new drive, has two ports.

> 24 hourMy experience with it is mostly reliable, but sometimes it might be slow to load with Windows, if so just be patient - dont unplug without choosing the ejection (lower right taskbar) or you could cause some corruption, at least temporarily.

> 24 hourHas never worked properly. Even if it is plugged into the computer, it doesnt recognize it. It has crashed at least 20 times since purchasing. I have had others with no problem, but this one is definitely faulty. I use it for work and also for school. But so far most have been lost during crashes. I have emailed, called, emailed again. called again, to no avail. They told me to send it to them, theyll check it out then send a new one. Only, I needed to keep the documents. I requested for them to send me a new one and a shipping label so that I could return it after I was able to transfer my documents. That never happened.

> 24 hourGreat product and this is the second one I have. This has now got all my movie collection on the drive and is quick enough for streaming services such as Plex. 5TB is not that much more that the 2, so it seems like a no brainer.

> 24 hourNot at all worth the money. I have had LaCie drives before and am very disappointed. It has trouble being recognized by my Mac. It disappears from my desktop and I have to reboot the computer to find it. Tech support is a joke. Their assistance is worthless. They agree there is a problem and then take a month to get back to me. I finally told them I had it working sort of, to put an end to it. LaCie charges a premium. Not worth it. Once you get your info on the drive you cannot very well return it with all your data on it- the warranty is not really usable.

> 24 hourPurchased on Nov 18th 2017. I’m a DJ and was at an outside gig when the weather took a turn and got rained out. The ext drive suffered some water damage. I was reading about the 3 yr limited warranty and product which states it’s “water resistant” well apparently not cause now when i plug in the drive it just makes a beeping sound it’s not clicking which could be worse. I packed up the equipment as quickly as possible so I didn’t think the rain affected it that much but it doesn’t even boot up on my laptop anymore. So much for being “water resistant”
