> 3 dayThis is a great HD. I even had to communicate with the seller and they were nothing less than courtesans. Excellent product, excellent vendor to do business with.

> 3 dayI am a DJ and I have several of these hard drives that I use for backup of my music collection. They are excellent drives and are very fast when accessing or searching music.

> 3 dayI wish I could give this a better rating but we tried to get two of them to work on my Mac, laptop, husbands mac and office mac. We even took one into simply mac to check it and it wouldn’t work :( sadly I returned.

> 3 dayNot much to say, it is a portable hard drive. If you have a newer MacBook you will need the Thunderbolt adapter.

> 3 dayI have used LaCie products in the past without any failure. I had to reformat this device a second time after someone else formatted it so I dont know if they did it right the first time. It was also missing one of the wires that was supposed to be in the box. It is only a $8 wire but it would have been nice to have it.

Greater than one weekIve had this drive since the end of July 2018, it runs fine, that is not the issue. My issue is.. Im working on making backups with all of my external HDs, and I was looking at the info on this Lacie for a minute with confusion... I bought this 4TB Lacie, and I have one folder as of now on it thats 1.12 TB. That is the only folder I have on the entire drive. While the drive states that its maximum memory storage is the 4TB, it states I have only 977.93 GB left, and that I used 3.02 TB of storage.. which is impossible because I only have the one 1.12TB folder in it... I wish I wouldve noticed this sooner so I couldve returned it for a real one... If you buy this.. dont, or at least drag some folder onto it ASAP, see if the memory taken up on the Lacie matches how much was in the folder..

Greater than one weekNot as described. Needs external power in every setup. Have not found a single device able to power the drive via USB. Power cord provided is the shortest power cord Ive ever seen packaged with a piece of gear and US plug is not polarized. Power supply is cheap and creates EMC issues with some gear. Very disappointed with LaCie. A few years ago they were the best... not any more.
