> 3 dayI have been breastfeeding my baby for almost 6 months and any mothers that have ever done this know how challenging it can be! There’s always the question of “is it enough or good enough for my baby?!” Also, I’m a full time working mother and with pumping, my supply isn’t overly abundant, so it’s even more challenging. This answered so many of my questions! Yes, my milk is good enough for my baby. I probably need to eat more and also get more vitamins and nutrients. So I highly recommend this! Dr. Canale wrote me a nice message with a lot of details and I loved the report I got. It was worth it for me to do! I intend to breastfeed for as long as my body will let me, hopefully 6 more months!

Greater than one weekWhat an amazing innovation! We all try our best to eat right but let’s face it, eating healthy requires a lot of extra work that you really don’t have when you have a newborn baby at home so you are left to wonder if you are feeding them adequately. Well that is no longer an issue! I was so happy to get my test results and was surprised that my carefully planned meals and supplements were missing a few key nutrients that I would have never guessed was missing. I am so happy I tried this and now I am tailoring my supplements and future meals to make sure I am feeding my sweet baby boy everything that he needs to develop and grow! Also the kit was super easy to use!! Thank you!!!

> 3 dayAs a new parent I am always questioning myself. Now I can safely say that my baby is getting all the nutrients she needs from the foods that I am eating. Plus they gave me tips on food choices . Id do it again in a heartbeat, plus they give you a discount when you return.

> 3 dayFor a scared mom who has a hipolalergic baby with a crazy diet I have doubted my milk and its power. I took the test and surprise surprise my milk is even better than formula. Also, very important it gave me all the information about the lacking vitamins in it. I do recommend for anyone who want a piece of mind!

> 3 dayThe results were so comprehensive and so insightful into where my nutrition and supplementation was lacking. After receiving the results, I knew exactly where the gaps were I needed to fill. I plan on retesting now that its been over 4 weeks after adding in what I was missing.

> 3 dayI eat a nutritious and balanced diet but I have malabsorption and was worried about the quality of my milk. I was happy to find that milk testing is possible and very easy to do. Everything was simple and straightforward as far as doing the test. Dr. Canale assured me that the overall quality of my milk was good but I was actually sad to find that my malabsorption is affecting my milk to some degree. But that is something I needed to know for my babys sake. I have been taking the additional supplements that were reccomended as well as a few others that my doctor reccomended when I brought the results in to him. After doing the retest the vitamin A in my milk is now at a healthy level so that was good to see. The calcium is still optimal and that was reassuring. But some of the other vitamins had gotten lower in spite of supplementing. So I am following up with my doctor for additional help in making sure my baby and I get the nutrients we need. As we get him more and more nutrients he is tending to sleep better most nights and he continues to thrive. Although overall my baby was thriving and my health is fairly good this did teach me some things about my health and my baby and I are doing better as a result. Additionally my baby has benign sleep jerks that had become worse. An EEG confirmed that they are not seizure related. We have found that even though they are still present, they are improving significantly as we increase his nutrition. I am very happy to have gotten my milk tested even though my test results were less than perfect, because in my case it opened my eyes to potential nutritional deficiencies and hopefully before they caused a major issue for my baby. Im also glad that I got the retest because it let me know that some things had improved whereas other areas still needed some tweaking. I would highly reccomend getting the nutritional content of your milk tested if you can and lactation lab makes it simple. I would love to see them test for more vitamins. This is a very nice service to breastfeeding moms!

> 3 dayMy pediatrician told us to supplement with formula as the LO wasnt gaining enough weight and we thought it was due to low calories in my milk. Now I know it must be the latch and we can fix it or at least she can be fully on pumped breast milk with no supplementation necessary. The service also provided guidance on which vitamins Im low on so that the LO will get the proper nutrients. All you have to do is send a sample of frozen milk taken from different feedings/ pumping sessions throughout the day back to them and youll receive the results in an email a few days later.

> 3 dayLoved the kit. It was great to get personalized report on our milk nutrition and suggestions for supplements or food to improve certain areas. I was impressed by the speed too I believe I got my report in less than a week since I shipped the sample.

22-11-2024It was so interesting to find out the nutritional contents of my milk! Although it’s a hefty price tag for some, I considered it worth the investment considering this is my baby’s exclusive food for the first 6 months, and I plan to continue breastfeeding for at least a year. Since I’m not paying for formula (which would add up to way more), why not invest in finding out how my milk contents measure up? I was happy to find out some of my levels were great, and surprised to find out some were low (like vitamin C and iron, even though I take supplements for both!). I also found out the caloric count was a little low... which makes sense because, as a new mom, it’s been hard for me to find time to consistently eat! I wouldn’t have had any idea about the areas in need of improvement without these results... and I’m very grateful to have them. I also appreciate Dr. Canales’ emphasis... that this isn’t about finding out what’s wrong with your milk; it’s about optimizing your milk for your baby. As much as I was a little bummed that my milk wasn’t “perfect” in terms of levels, I’ve kept that perspective in mind— this is about optimizing the nutritional content for my little one. She also included personalized recommendations based on the results, and she’s available to answer questions. Glad I got this done— it’s worth it for my little guy’s health and giving him the best possible, healthiest start to life!
