The velcro on this plate very securely holds the polishing pads in place. You have to work to remove the pad when you want to switch out, which you should. Excellent product holding up very well. Highly recommended.

Ordered in July and tried out on my old Meguiars g110 in October. As others have stated, it wobbles too much for being a backing plate. I’ve used numerous items from this company, and this is the first that has let me down. Will try other options since my original plate finally separated after all these years. At least I still have my 3 other polishers with plates to use.

Great backing pad - matched with lake country pads - no way it’s accidentally coming loose

My original Porter Cable backing plate finally disintegrated after 14 years. These Lake County backing plates are a favorite among detailers so I gave this a try. Right away when installing on my buffer, I could see that it was defective. When I turned the disc by hand, it had about 1/8 inch of runout. My suspicions were correct when I put a pad on and tried polishing. Because the backing plate was crooked and not balanced, the buffer shook violently when operating. I returned this baking plate and bought an original replacement a Porter Cable.

Great for the money works great and no heat issues like some. They hold together well and the backing holds the pads really good.

This worked great. I’m a total amateur at buffing and polishing but this worked really well. I have nothing to compare it to as this is the only one I’ve ever owned or used, but it gripped well and performed well. No issues at all.

The Lake Country products are some of the better quality product available at a reasonable price. Once the pad is in place it stays in place and requires quite an effort to remove (as it should) It is sized correctly so the the edges cannot come into contact with and scuff or scrape the paint.
