I bought this to dry out a porch rug but have been using it for many other things like drying towels, drying upholstery after cleaning, drying paint on surfaces - plus my dog absolutely loves laying in front of it. Its pretty much his fan now. Not as loud as those fans you see in shops and job sites, it is more similar in noise level to indoor fans.

Its not necessarily THAT quiet, but the nature of the noise it makes keeps you from almost EVER noticing that its on. You just instantly mentally tune it out, and its actually quite a pleasant sound. But we havent even talked about the sheer AIR this thing moves. Wow. I have a studio that gets hot when im not home and when I get back and turn this thing on after opening the door, it takes about 3 minutes for the ambient room temperature to drop like 10 degrees. Its nuts. Cant recommend enough. Im buying another one just for under my bed, provides great white noise for sleeping and keeps so much air moving in the room, its wonderful. If you want, you can sleep in a wind tunnel =)

I have POTS, which leaves me prone to fainting if I get overheated. I have a treadmill at home and keep this pointed so that the air hits my side while I walk. Now that I’m able to walk even further, I just purchased a second one that I’ll aim at my back. I’m so happy I found this fan, the airflow is intense, which is exactly what I need to exercise safely.

We use this fan on our bedroom at night. It runs for 8 to 10 hours everyday. Best fan we have ever used. After about 2 years they drum inside warped and started rubbing slowing down the fan, making lots of noise. I contacted the company to see how I could get this fixed and they sent me a new one very quickly. I would recommend the fan for any use and would say this was the best customer service I have ever received.

I can actually say this fan saved my life. Last summer we had days up to 106 outside and 130+ indoors I am 68 years old and got very close to death because my head got so hot it was horrid. I was putting blue ice packs on and underneath my head to try to cool it off. This fan took care of my problem and Im still here today. This fan is also very very well made and I know it will be with me for a very long time. I have even used it this winter to help circulate the heat to keep me warm during our -9 degrees and lower days.

Lasko blower style fans have become a favorite of mine, I have purchased several over the years and they are a strong blowing fan and circulate the air very well. They operate smoothly and relatively quiet for the volume of air they move. No remote controls, but control switch is easy to access and has two plug-in ports that provide a nice little extension cord as well as the powerful fan. Im a fairly handy person and have disassembled them for thorough cleaning and reassembled them several times and the updates in each iteration of design upgrades have that becoming easier to do each time as well. Although it is a bit of a pain in the backside doing the big cleaning it brings it back to brand new working condition. (Helpful summer tip: well dampened towels folded up and frozen solid and sat on top makes a great little ghetto air conditioner/swamp chiller. ) My personal opinion is that its the best fan for the money available today and doesnt take up much space.

This lasko fan cools the house, really well. Kind of noisy. But easy to move around. Would recommend.

I bought this fan at the beginning of May and it worked for less then 4 months. It developed and grinding/scrapping sound that is so loud and worrisome that it renders it borderline unusable. I reached out to Lasko directly via their website requesting assistance a week ago and have received no response. Im guessing that I purchased at defective one, given the generally positive reviews, and I was happy enough with the fan while it worked. I am hoping that the company will notice this review and reach out to resolve my issue. Edit: While I wont claim that they were fast, I will say that Laskos customer service did make my situation right. They sent a complete replacement after I answered some questions. The replacement fan seems to work fine, so I am reasonably satisfied with the result. Updating the review to a 4 out of 5 since the fan still broke and the issue took a decent amount of time to resolve.
