Im really loving this. Its better than I expected for the price honestly. Decent battery life (abt 4 hrs light use on Windows) and a nice keyboard. The keyboard backlight is just white, but its great for my use case. The trackpad is nice though I dont use it much, and it keeps reasonably cool under heavy loads and doesnt get uncomfortable to keep gaming on the keyboard.

For its price point, I am impressed with this laptop. I really like the GTX 1650 GPU which allowed me to run Second Life at 50 fps which is good and comparable to what I get on more powerful desktop computers. Realize that display is only 1080 HD, the SSD is only 256 GB and RAM is 8 GB shared with the graphics. There is no touch screen. Given those limitations, this is still a very powerful gaming machine. The laptop came with a bag of misc parts and no reference in the manual on how to use them. They appear to be parts needed to install a 2.5” hard disk or SSD which considering the small size of the SSD in this model, I found very interesting. I did find a maintenance manual online that looks like it might be useful in taking advantage of these parts. It would be nice if the unit had come with instructions because I would definitely be interested in upgrading the storage on this laptop. The small SSD that came with this laptop is very fast. Things that I didn’t like about this laptop was that although it has a camera on it, it does not support the face recognition for Windows Hello, nor does it have finger print recognition. The other thing I didn’t like was that after spending a day running Windows 10 updates, it still wasn’t at 21H1 when it done updating. Hopefully it will catch up soon. It may sound like I am not happy with this laptop, but that isn’t true. I really like it. The wifi was very fast reaching speeds close to what my ISP service provides.

I bought 4 of this model. 2 of them were bought at regular discounted price and was pristine sealed condition with unwrinkled plastic and no problem. The other 2 i bought during black friday 2021. Both had wrinkled plastics when opened and one had blinking charging light problem which was fixed by draining the battery and recharging it. The other had a defective usb3 port and 2 lightly discolored spots on top. Beware black friday deals maybe laptops returned by customers.

I bought the 32GB RAM version of this Lenovo. The RAM failed about 2 months into use. The Lenovo repair guy said aftermarket RAM had been installed by a party outside of Lenovo. Hence it was not covered by Lenovos warranty.
