Works exactly as it should. Simple Plug-and-Play. Could not be any simpler! Now have my entrainment center hard wired. And a free/empty port to plug in another something. No more lag in gaming and watching movies on smart TV. Even being used at the same time.

Love this unit. Plug and play is always the way to go. Solid metallic body construction. Can be rack mounted, wall mounted, or just set on desk, table, shelf, etc. I ordered this switch to use with all my devices in entertainment system in one room. Was so impressed with it, I ordered another for the basement feed to send to other points in the house. Now I have an 8 port switch on my router, ( linksys EA9500 ), feeding an 8 port switch that feeds into another 8 port switch sending gig lines throughout the house. Have had both switches for close to a year with no problems and at this price point thats a win win.

Great little switch. Now that we are dealing with Covid-19, I found myself and family working from home. I ran some Ethernet since WiFi was not getting me the speeds that I needed for conference calls and VPN connections. I used this switch in the system and it works great. In the evenings my boys use it when gaming as there is only one shared Ethernet wire at that location. Neither have complained about any speed issues or loss in mindless gaming ability. The drool is still trickling out the sides of their mouths, so I guess its treating them well.

Works like a Charm! Linksys 5port gateway is one of the best kinds out there to split your connection in half- even for gaming!

Had my house wired for Cat6 Gig-E and threw this in the entertainment center to provide hard-wired connections for the 4k TV and a few game consoles/devices -- it works perfectly. Ive had another one of these in my office for 2 years and it has worked without reboot or issue the entire time. Ive been through enough Netgears in my life to know that equipment is not for me. Also had crap luck with Amped Wireless over a long period of time (1+ year plus) -- the Linksys and Asus equipment has lasted for me so far and this piece of hardware is no different. The ONLY thing I wish this had/did was different color LEDs when there was a 1Gbit connection vs 100mbps or lower. Some other switches do this and I like it, but as long as this works smoothly and gives me great speed, I can live without the color change. Its just a nerdy sense of satisfaction item for me.

Speed test shows it lives up to its promise. Has been working flawlessly since I installed it on our home network. Very happy so far.

This switch replaced a very old but still functioning Linksys 10/100 switch that was plugged into my new gigabyte 4 port router. The slower switch was slowing down the router ports so I decided to upgrade the switch to the same speed switch. I plugged my slower devices into the switch, an Ooma telephone system and a Cisco power line adapter that feeds a wireless access point for my 3 Roku streaming video units. The SE3005 has automatic priority for streaming devices (good) but did not recognize the power line connection as streaming and slowed down all my Rokus to the same speed as my Ooma internet telephone (not good). I switched the power line adapter back to the main router and the problem went away.

Had lightning wipe my other linksys gigabit switches out so I replaced them with this version. The speed tests out just fine as does the auto hand shake with the router. With all ports full and active and a variety of streaming, gaming and surfing active in this house I have No complaints. This unit is also smaller than the SE2800 it replaced and operates much cooler. Lights are simple blue power and ports green when connected on the front but not bright enough to bother me on my desk and visible under my router which I prefer to the old unit.

After reading reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the initial quality. Tight little switch, and feels well made. Getting full switched 1Gb/Gigabit rates. No heat or loose connection issues. Works have preferred power and RJ-45 connections on the same side for neatness, but its fine as is...
