Works like a charm. I used it to add ports to my Linksys router. Just plugged it in and it works. Nothing much to do otherwise.

I like how small it is you can see it in my picture is the small black box in the middle left and also how thin it is. Easy and fast to work. Good for its price, and also the lights are in the front where u connect the wires so u can always so if ones out or working

I purchased this unmanaged switch for my Google Nest router, since you only get a single Ethernet port with those. The switch itself is of great quality and looks nice. I love the heavier metal used in such a compact thing, that has a robust and durable feel. I was also expecting it to be larger and bulkier honestly. It is very easy to set up. Just plug the switch into your router and you’re good to go. It comes with some driver software in the box. Not really sure why you’d need to download anything to use this however. Only reason for four stars is the blue power light. It is blindingly bright in a darker room. The green networking lights above each Ethernet port are nice and subtle and easy on the eyes. Don’t know why they made this power light so bright just to let you know it’s turned on. It’s a pretty blue, but dang, if only there was a way to turn it down and it wasn’t so bright. Perhaps you can do this with the software provided? Nevertheless, I do recommend this unmanaged switch for adding more Ethernet ports to your network, especially for us Google Nest and Google WiFi users.

After reading reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by the initial quality. Tight little switch, and feels well made. Getting full switched 1Gb/Gigabit rates. No heat or loose connection issues. Works have preferred power and RJ-45 connections on the same side for neatness, but its fine as is...

This is a very good ethernet switch for the price. Its very simple to set up; simply plug the power adapter in to an outlet and the cord in to the back of the ethernet switch, and then run your main ethernet cord from your router or gateway to to the first slot of the ethernet switch; after that, you can plug any other devices in to the remaining open slots on the ethernet switch using ethernet cords, and they will all simultaneously be connected to the internet through your local network at full ethernet speed. I have 3 devices simultaneously hooked up with one open spot remaining for another device. If you have more than 4 devices, youll need to get a switch with more than 5 ports since one port needs to be connected to the router in order for the other devices to access the internet using your local network. For a relatively cheap solution to having all your devices hooked up to the internet using ethernet, its hard to beat something like this. Its far faster and more reliable than using wifi.

This switch does exactly what you want it to do. The only thing I dont like about it is the network connections are in the front and power goes in the back. I wish everything went into the back with the LEDs on the front. Thats my fault for not looking at it harder before I ordered it. Other than that it works exactly the way I want it to, so 5 stars is and easy rating for me.

We installed this on for our Administrative Assistant computer. We have an old building and limited wiring. This switch allowed us connect the printer and other hardware easily. It was done in 3 minutes.

I have several of these switches on my home network, they are very reliable, unless you have a surge from your electric company, I have had to replace two of them over the last Ten or so years. Not the switches problem. I would recommend these!

After upgrading a bunch of equipment and my internet provider, I realized my old cheap switch was cheating some wired devices out of my networks newfound speed. I considered doing hours of research to find the perfect replacement, then I gave up and went to the Apple website store and found out they were selling this exact switch and a few others from Linksys. Bought it, installed it, and now all my wired equipment is blazing fast again. Installing this is dead simple: plug it into your router, plug your devices into it, and give it AC power. I didnt even have to power-cycle my cable modem or router. This switch does have some additional nice features, but my main need was simply additional ports with enough speed to match what Im paying for. With this switch in place, I was able to get several computers, gaming consoles, and streaming boxes off my wireless network; now both wired and wireless devices have improved performance.

Easily add up to 8 devices to your home or office network. Simply plug-in to instantly connect devices to your network.
