> 3 dayThe G on the mouse started losing its shiny color after a week and now the paint has peeled off around the G logo after a month of use. I was hoping this would be a replacement for my G502 but it seems I might have to try something other than logitech for my next mouse.

> 3 dayI first bought an MX518 when they first came out 15(?) or so years ago. I have owned 2 or 3 over the years. It is simply the best mouse ever made. They even discontinued it at one point and people were selling used ones on ebay for $200. Its the IBM Model M (keyboard) of mice. Absolute classic. Recommended to many people and all loved it.

> 3 dayIn the mid 2000s, the OG MX518 was king. Headshots made easy. I decided to take a swipe at a the new version after using an Intellimouse 3.0 for years after my old MX was decommisioned. Its a wonderful mouse, fits my large hands very well. The buttons are tactile and feel well made. Logitech did a great job bringing back the best mouse of all time. If you are in the market for a wired gaming mouse that does on the fly DPI and is priced extremely well, look no further.

18-11-2024I had used a MX 518 as my primary mouse for many years. It finally broke and I was disappointed to find it was no longer made. I tried a few others but was never happy with them. I was skeptical when this was reissued. I figured it was just a cheaper knock off. It does seem to have been cost reduced some, and it is cheaper then the original. But I like it. It works well and it is fast. I had to slow it down. If you were a fan of the original, you will find this a acceptable replacement. Update: I have noticed there has been a large price increase for this mouse. At the current price it’s is much less of a deal. If I was in the market, I would still buy it, but be unhappy with the price.

Greater than one weekFirst of all, the mouse was shipped to me in the US in all Spanish packaging (not a product of the US) with Spanish instructions, etc. The box has a different serial number on it than the one on the bottom of the mouse, and neither one of them are accepted by the Logitech website when trying to register the mouse for warranty. This is NOT a legitimate product.

> 3 dayDont know if its just the mouse I received, but the mouse tracking feels strange. Cursor moves smoothly sometimes and then all of a sudden stutters for a split second causing me to have to lift the mouse and move it again for the cursor to cross the screen. Movement was better a textured mat compared to my mouse pad or just a hard smooth surface, but disappointed that my old mouse (also logitech) that Ive been using for three years on a mouse pad still works better.
