> 3 dayI use string lights in my office in place of the awful fluorescent lights. They plug in to the outlet behind my desk, and it’s tricky to get to. Since I began using this remote control outlet, I no longer have to get to the outlet to plug in and u plug my lights every day. The remote has a magnet on the back, which I keep on the whiteboard next to my office door. I walk in my door and use the remote to turn on the lights immediately. It has been very helpful.

> 3 dayNo more climbing out of your warm cocoon of a bed to turn off the light! Originally I bought a bluetooth socket to control my bedroom lamp but that quit working after a short couple of weeks. Not to mention it was annoying to have to pull up the app on my phone, let it load then click off the lamp. Im thrilled with this remote version! The socket is behind a heavy solid wood dresser and I was worried the signal would not reach but it turns on and off the first click every single time. I can stay in my warm bed all cozy and turn off the lamp when Im done reading or whatever. The remote also has an optional sticky pad on back so you can stick it to the wall next to your bed or wherever. Great feature! It is absolutely fabulous! Much better (and cheaper) than the bluetooth alternatives!

> 3 dayLike many others, I needed this to control a lamp in a far section of a large room. When I first attempted to plug the receiver into the wall, its diameter was too large to exist with another devices power adapter on that same outlet. Not a big deal for me, but could be frustrating for someone else who isnt expecting to have to reroute/reposition adapters for multiple things to accommodate this receiver. Theres a pairing process, and it involves pressing the button on the side of the receiver for a few seconds until the button flashes. The problem is that my fingers are a bit thick, so my finger was larger than the button surface, and prevented me from seeing the flashing light. No big deal, I just counted to 3, and took my finger off to check it. Other than that, the pairing process was very easy. That was it. The remote worked on the first attempt, and it solves one of lifes many tiny headaches. The remote does have a separate magnetic base, but I dont plan to use it. Despite the small issues I mentioned, I highly recommend this device.

> 3 dayI like the simple design, compared to several others Ive used. Very easy to hook up. It would be nice to add a couple of drill holes to the base, so one could anchor to the wall. The magnet works pretty good for holding the remote in place. If they added a way to twist-and-click on remote to the base, I think it would keep it from the magnet loosing its grip, if you push the button a bit too hard.

> 3 dayI sleep with a sound machine at night and there’s nothing worse than being comfy and warm and realizing I have to get up to turn it on. I bought this so I could turn it on right from my bed before I go to sleep. I keep it in my nightstand and it works perfectly. It took a couple minutes to get it connected right but now that’s it connected I have had no issues and use it every night and morning.

> 3 dayUsing this to control some new LED lights I attached to the garage ceiling. I used a two receptacle outlet on my garage ceiling. One of the receptacles was occupied by the plug for my garage door motor. A standard, 3-prong plug. Placing this mini adapter in the remaining receptacle was an extremely tight squeeze, resulting in things not being nearly as secure as Id like. The magnets that hold the remote onto the wall are not very strong. I can see this getting knocked loose to smash on the concrete floor of the garage. Edit: It seems the transmitter in this may interfere with the receiver for my garage door opener. Im going to test it out and if thats the case this gets returned. Functionally the remote works great.
