Ive not owned a decent flashlight before and had been tempted to buy a multi-D-cell MagLite before but I expected the batteries were a little expensive to chew through. When I saw that they had released a quality LED model I bought two immediately - one for the house and one for the garage. The beam has a reasonable focus range. I can light up a building 300m away with ease. If you want a quality flashlight, look no further.

> 3 dayI like the heft, durable design, and long lasting, reliable light of three D cells powering an efficient LED. I dont love the uneven light spread (concentric circles of light no matter how I manipulate the lens) and, for the price, Id expect a removable colored lens, stand, strap, roll preventing rubber collar, or some IC cleverness (variable brightness/a timer/some flash pattern.)

> 3 dayBright! It takes 3 D batteries which makes it heavy. feels sturdy. does not illuminate too much but just enough. Almost a year later: it works fine and still using the same batteries. it sure is heavy!

> 3 daySolid, reliable, great company reputation, outstanding products... but when used in the wide mode, that dark spot is horrible. Blocking view of the subject in front of you. Only way to use this flashlight is on the spot mode, but that kind of defeats my purpose of buying. 3 stars based on the body build itself. Cannot recommend this product.
