MagLite - ST3D016 Maglite LED 3-Cell D Flashlight, Black

After using it a few times the rubber top on the on and off switch popped off. I put duct tape on top of it to keep it from popping off again. I have another mag light that I bought 15 years ago and has lots of use and no problems, still works great.

Like the solid, quality build. The black spot located in the center of the beam is annoying. Overall, a good buy.

Every day use , had this light b4 only flashlight I would buy.

Holy Scnhikeys, I cant believe how much brighter it is than the old version light bulb. Bought this to replace a 15-year old 3D that I lost due to leaking batteries. Kind of a purpleish tint to the light, but it doesnt bother me.

All I had was small flashlights and when I saw this Maglite for a reasonable price I bought it. It throws off a good beam and is well constructed. I keep it near my bed and it could be used as a self defense weapon. I was so satisfied with this led that I bought the 2 cell one for my car.

works well very bright. LED light does not focus into a tight beam like the older ones did but its good.

Long distance flashlight as well as a light intensifier when you twist the head of the flashlight.

For the price I expect more. Like the little Maglites, I want this big one to have high/low settings at least.

This is a really nice, heavy duty flashlight. Its a little longer than I wanted but for the price it just couldnt be beat!

The flashlight produces a powerful bright light. I also like the optional feature of not having to click it on but just pressing/holding the button for light if you just need a quick beam. One minor complaint I have it that its pretty heavy, and is very long--it doesnt fit in my cabinets upright. My biggest gripe is that there is a huge dark spot on the beam when you rotate the head into floodlight mode. This is apparently common and normal with this light, but I think its a design flaw--its very annoying. Also, instructions were vague on how to open the end cap and replace the bulb. I wanted to open the top so I could dust off the inside of the lens cover, but even though the diagram shows this should unscrew, I couldnt get it open and didnt want to force it. I guess Ill wait until I really need to open it to replace the bulb, and then Ill try to figure it out.
