> 3 dayI like the matte feel of the camo mag, it has more grip than standard black. Seems a bit thinner and lighter than my older one. Very bright

> 3 dayOK this thing is pretty nutty! Great adjustable light beam, LED so it seems like the battery will last a long time (havent had to change them yet, but its been light use so far). And the brightness...wow. So fun to play with! I took it to a corn maze with my fiancée and teens a few lanes over thought it was a spotlight when I first turned it on pointed into the sky!

> 3 dayYes its large, a bit bulky and somehow heavy. Thats the downside you have to pay to have powerful light coming from a led bulb that consumes very low battery. Adjustable focus makes the flashlight very practical. It works with 3 D cell batteries. If you pretend to carry it in your car dont hesitate in purchasing the accessory pack, it fits great!

> 3 dayPrevious to this purchase I had never owned a big Maglite, but I decided to splurge and treat myself. This rocks. I use this to take my dog out for a walk before daylight. I live in a high crime area, so its nice to know this flashlight can double as a weapon if need be. Good to have in the zombie apocalypse..haha!

> 3 dayGood: 1. Quality of the build is excellent. Body is made of aluminium or some similar metal. 2. I luv the camo design. It is unique and is a conversation starter in a group. 3. Very bright LED and the focus can be adjusted by twisting the head. 4. The serrated body helps with having a good grip in your hands. Not So Good: 1. The battery cover was very difficult to close as the spring tension is very high. 2. Not available in 2D size. The 3D size is good but it is longer and heavier so your hands will get tired fast. Overall it is a great product.

Greater than one weekThis light claims it is brighter than a four-cell incandescent Maglite. It is in fact dramatically brighter than a 4-cell, while being much lighter and shorter. If you buy a Maglite now, buy an LED because the bulbs and the batteries last much longer and they put out much more light. If you already have a Maglite with an incandescent bulb you can convert most of them to LED. If the bulbs are regular flashlight units and not the ones that have a bulb with two wires on one end, you only need a different bulb about $17.

Greater than one weekThis light is as bright as the sun on a hot summer day. Im almost convinced its a wide-beam high-intensity laser, so I try not to point it at anything valuable. Its so bright, I was able to have my electricity turned off, and I turn it on in a back room. It literally lights up the house. Just a word of advise, dont go into that back room.

> 3 dayThe 3 D-cell LED Maglite in digital camo finish is a great flashlight. Workmanship and material quality is outstanding for a budget D-cell flashlight (the flashlight is made in the USA). The design is well conceived, well executed and intuitive. The digital camo design -- it looks pixelated -- is very cool looking and appears to be wear resistant; this is an attractive flashlight and the product photo does not do it justice. Although the outdated packaging suggested that my flashlight was a previous (2nd) generation version, the flashlight is actually the latest (3rd) generation as can be determined by the Cree XP-E LED mounted on a green PCB and clearly labeled 484. The upgraded LED gives the flashlight a throw of 364 meters at 131 lumens according to newer Maglite packaging. With three good D-cell alkalines, battery life should be about 79 hours according to the updated packaging (tested under ANSI rules). Thats well over three days of continuous usage. The flashlight is built solidly and is a formidable club when filled with three alkaline batteries. The price is very reasonable for such a high quality flashlight. In fact, the price is lower than many Chinese-made products of lower quality. Getting the milled aluminum end cap on the flashlight can be tricky because the interior spring is very strong. Maglite installed such a strong string in order to keep the heavy batteries in place so that the flashlight doesnt flicker off through the bumps that occur under normal use. The attractive Maglite 3-D Cell LED flashlight in the camo finish is an outstanding product at a great price.

> 3 dayThe real deal… these LED Maglite flashlights are just the best I have seen and or used. I have four, perhaps five of the 3-4 cell older ones, and I am giving them to the kids and the local goodwill. These are so much better in brightness, and use of batteries, that the older ones are no longer worth putting batteries in. Maglites have always been expensive, but if you need one or more they are the only one to trust for civilian jobs. Chores around the place at night and in the car, this is it, the real deal. I have two Camo ones and a silver gray one. Im ordering another pair of black ones. The good news here is that a three cell will far outlast a six cell old one. More light, less weight, longer battery life, whats not to like about that? LED is the way to go, the bulbs Thomas Edison invented worked well for 100+ years, but it is time now, it would seem, for flashlights to move into the current age. My old Maglites still work fine, from 5 to 20 years old. Would still use them, but for this new LED version. An improvement of such magnitude that it just renders the older ones a place on the antique shelf. In the life of the flashlight, I suppose the savings in D cells alone would pay for the upgrade, perhaps even more. Something to think about as well as the need for fewer spares on hand. As expected, just a very nice flashlight.
