Maglite LED 3-Cell D Flashlight, Universal Camo

> 3 dayThe real deal… these LED Maglite flashlights are just the best I have seen and or used. I have four, perhaps five of the 3-4 cell older ones, and I am giving them to the kids and the local goodwill. These are so much better in brightness, and use of batteries, that the older ones are no longer worth putting batteries in. Maglites have always been expensive, but if you need one or more they are the only one to trust for civilian jobs. Chores around the place at night and in the car, this is it, the real deal. I have two Camo ones and a silver gray one. Im ordering another pair of black ones. The good news here is that a three cell will far outlast a six cell old one. More light, less weight, longer battery life, whats not to like about that? LED is the way to go, the bulbs Thomas Edison invented worked well for 100+ years, but it is time now, it would seem, for flashlights to move into the current age. My old Maglites still work fine, from 5 to 20 years old. Would still use them, but for this new LED version. An improvement of such magnitude that it just renders the older ones a place on the antique shelf. In the life of the flashlight, I suppose the savings in D cells alone would pay for the upgrade, perhaps even more. Something to think about as well as the need for fewer spares on hand. As expected, just a very nice flashlight.

> 3 dayThis Maglite is brillant, so powerful and bright and also camouflages easily so your wife Can not see that You have bought yet another flashlight. Has 79 hours of useable light, shines blinding bright. Brighter then the previous LED versions (uses a XP-E Cree LED) and is still made assembledin California. Ive used good quality (Duracell) batteries and never had any problems with it. Dont give it another thought, just get it and worry about your wife finding it later, you could tell her you always had It, she just never noticed because it just blended in to the rest of your hunting gear.

> 3 dayGood: 1. Quality of the build is excellent. Body is made of aluminium or some similar metal. 2. I luv the camo design. It is unique and is a conversation starter in a group. 3. Very bright LED and the focus can be adjusted by twisting the head. 4. The serrated body helps with having a good grip in your hands. Not So Good: 1. The battery cover was very difficult to close as the spring tension is very high. 2. Not available in 2D size. The 3D size is good but it is longer and heavier so your hands will get tired fast. Overall it is a great product.

> 3 dayBright light, long battery life. Only downside I have is when the beam is spread wide there is a dark circle in the middle of the beam, not enough of an issue to take a star away. Great light, sturdy, worth the purchase, this will last just put good batterys in it cause they will be in it for a while and you dont want them to corrode and ruin it.

> 3 dayOccasionally I have to work late hours in places that dont allow firearms. Blunt objects dont really fill the gap, but its a lot better than nothing. The 3 D-cell is heavy enough to do the job, yet compact enough to swing fast. Its easily stowed in a backpack until I head out to the parking lot to go home. Went for the LED because its bright enough to temporarily blind someone and has better battery life. Makes me laugh when people complain about the size and weight of D-Cell Maglites. For most of us who own them thats the whole point. Yes, I have small LEDs that will out perform it, but they wont knock out a crackhead. Not into camo, but I knew it would be 3rd generation LED so I can live with it. Update (11/22/13) Flashlight still going strong and serving me well.

> 3 dayThe quality of a mag lite always brings me back to them. This flashlight is by far the brightest and longest lasting of many flashlights I own. The only possible improvement would be to make a floating version of this one.

> 3 dayIts a maglite! Awesome flashlight. Stronger than I expected. Its range is very long for the lumens it has. After owning this I dont see myself buy more expensive made in China high lumens lights. This American made light is all I need. Primary roll is for home use and protection. I take it when traveling with family. Heavy duty quality, very bright blinding led light, and u can smash a bad guys face with it. Good for your night stand or vehicle. Highly recommend this.
