The bag is well built and very functional. My only gripe with it is the plastic taste that I cannot get rid of. I have washed the bladder and hose many times to no avail. At this point I have probably used the bladder 15 times and it is still present.

In the market for a pack with pockets to take food with me on my long runs. This fit the bill and for the money can not be beat. I am surprised by the quality. Was a little skeptical at first but got it today. Everything feels really good on the pack. Plenty of space, the straps all feel great. much better buy than the Camelback brand that cost tripple. Hands down, buy this one.

This. This is how it feels: all the life giving water you can handle! The water stay cool in the pack and at 3 liters, you got plenty for your short to mid range hikes. On top of having all that sweet sweet H2O, you get a sweet pack that holds your junk and plenty of it! Need some power bars with that liquid life? Got it! Need some granola? Sure thing! Jerky? Fruit? Maybe a book? Easy. Want that Go Pro with you? Why not??? Long story short, plenty of water and space for most of your needs. On to actual issues: the water does heat up in the hose even though its wrapped in neoprene. Youll need to get through the warm bit but once you got the water deep in the pack, its nice and cool. The shoulder straps hit me in a odd place in the pec/armpit area, but that might be because I have a fairly large size chest/barrel. When I opened it, I actually had to cut the mouth piece open since the slit was not completely cut. No big deal. Overall, I love the setup and have two that work nicely. Keep in mind, youll have 6 lbs of water on your back, the more items you add, the heavier it gets. You really do have a lot of space for different things so just keep that in mind if you dont have very good stamina or a great deal of strength.

This was everything I expected and more. Although only one shoulder strap has a hose clip, you can feed it through either the top left or right side of the pack and attach with a carabiner. Ive never had any issues with water leaks or zippers coming open. I also love the external loops for clipping smaller bits of gear like a compass and solar charger, or carrying a wet rain poncho.

Arm straps are uncomfortable and only held on by a single row of stitches, which broke quickly with the full weight of three litres of water and vigorous activity. Buy cheap buy twice.

Straps arent even, which makes adjusting difficult. Like one side will be the same length as the other but it will have more slack, putting the packs weight off center. The mouthpiece doesnt let much through either; you only get a trickle of water. Other than that, its great. The pockets are roomy, the straps are comfortable, and it does its job. Great price for a decent product. If you want perfect, you gotta pay more for something like Camelbak.

This pack has been a lifesaver. I started carrying this on all my hikes and I absolutely live it. The extra wide opening on the bladder really helps with filling. Also the drunk value orientation surprisingly makes a huge difference on how easy it is to drink from the bladder. I was really impressed with the overall quality of the product.

(Aug 2021) This is an update to my original review, see below. I was sent another replacement bladder after writing my review and found it to be much better. Surprisingly better tasting! I washed the new bladder with Dawn dish soap and warm water, rinsed with a strong baking soda solution for a couple minutes, rinsed with plain water a few times, then filled with clean tasting filtered water. I was pleasantly surprised at how little the new bladder tasted. Hardly any plastic taste at all for the new bladder. I then left water in the bladder for 20 hours and tasted again. There was very little, if any, plastic taste after all that time. I expect after a few more use/wash cycles it will be completely tasteless. Hard to say why this is, the new bladder looks just like the original. There is some chance that I am getting used to the taste, but I dont think that is the case as I had not used the original bladder for several weeks. The bite valve, hose, and fittings work just fine, no issues there at all. I am now completely happy with this pack/bladder system and would recommend it to others. Not going back to carrying steel water bottles for most walks. Long distance desert walks will be different, I desire the security of a steel water container when my life depends on the water I carry. I may use a bladder for drinking but will be keeping water in steel just in case. (June 21, 2021) My Original Review: I have use this for a couple months now. Even got a replacement bag. Washed the bag over and over with dish soap and baking soda, on several separate days, and after every use. Used on 15-20 day hikes. Still tastes like plastic every sip, every time. I like the convenience of this system but not the taste. The pack is nice, fits me well and no backache like so many packs give me. Enough padding around the bag to keep water cool for a good time. Probably going to need to return to using stainless steel water bottles.

Overall great product and love the little extra pockets they added for minimal storage in the go. I use this at work because I do construction and pipe rehabilitation on bases and I don’t always have time to go grab a bottle or my drink so this definitely help. It’s a tad bit uncomfortable due to it always sliding and moving periodically but other than that, it doesn’t leak or drip and it actually stay fairly cool even without putting ice in the bag.
