> 3 dayI recently started fostering kittens. I am on my second litter of newborn kittens and this heating pad works so well that I just ordered another one. It is well made, has a removable, washable cover and a chew proof cord. It doesn’t get too hot, it just keeps the “nest” the perfect temperature.

> 3 dayOur puppy loves this! She has had it for two months. It fits nicely in her crate. It’s easy to clean. The cover zips on and off to throw in the washing machine. We have it situated so that the cord is out of her reach.

> 3 dayMy senior citizen cat enjoys the warmth of this mat. No on/off control, just plug in or pull out, temperature is mildly warm and consistent once it gets warmed up.

> 3 dayWe have an out door kitty and always trying to find cheap ways to keep her warm. Of course it cant be outside where rain can get to it. But we have a box on our back porch with this for her to sleep on and a 25w halogen bulb in a tinfoil covered reflector dish above her. This heat pad solves the catch 22 that the rest have that dont allow putting on a timer with resetting it daily. My kittys box is warmed on a timer at night with only 47 watts between this pad and the halogen bulb.

Greater than one weekMy cat loves this pad. I find him sleeping on it a lot. I keep my home on this chilly side and my old, skinny cat crashes out on this heating pad everyday He doesn’t chew but the cord appears to be protected I pug it in. There’s no temperature control. Cat likes it

> 3 dayUPDATE: Its been over a year since my review, and the pad is still going strong, and is still one of his favorite spots to be! God help us if it gives out, I think I may buy a spare, just in case, I dread what would happen! I think its probably his favorite thing that Ive ever bought him. Original review: Our cat, like many cats, usually will reject things we buy him in favor of the box it came in. This winter, though, we noticed he was often upset, crying to us for reasons that werent obvious - it wasnt food, water, petting.. none of the usual things he wanted. Eventually, I wondered if maybe, since hes getting older, he might be feeling a bit achy when it got chillier or rainier. I thought maybe, if he had something warm to curl up with, he might feel better, but I worried he wouldnt ever use it. After searching around here on Amazon through various versions of these pet heating pads, I eventually settled on this one, and when we got it home, I set it up in the corner of the living room hes claimed as his. Ill admit, I totally cheated that first day. I got out his favorite calming blend catnip and sprinkled it on the pad so hed at least TRY getting on it. That did get him to set foot on it, at least. It took about twenty four hours for him to give in. Maybe less. Apparently the lure of this Magical Warm Spot was sufficient to override the natural desire to avoid showing any interest in something bought for him. Hes on it all the time now! Its become one of his default favorite spots to nap. He likes it to the point where if he walks over it, he often seems to forget where he was actually headed and just sort of stop there, looking at first as though hes intending to keep going, but this quickly turns into simply sitting on the pad instead. Whatever else he had on the agenda is rarely as important as the Warm Spot once hes felt it again. Theres no more mystery crying and distress (we are back to the usual demands again) and hes even more playful again, so I suspect he was, in fact, just feeling those very relatable aches when your joints arent as young as they used to be. Hes much happier, we are much relieved that hes more comfortable, and all in all, its been one of the best purchases Ive made in a while. A quick note on cleaning: the cover zips right off and its washable. The fur also vaccuumed off of it surprisingly easily for something with a fuzzy texture. Its also nicely waterproof... He tested that when he drank a bunch of water and then decided he had to get a hairball out. Id say that was a decent test of how cleanable the pad is. It doesnt seem any worse for wear. I rarely say just buy it for a review. But honestly, if our cat accepts it, and it hasnt given us any problems in months, it has to be on the short list of purchases I have absolutely no regret over. He loves it, he feels better, he actually uses it, it didnt cost much at all. I dont know how much more one could ask for.

> 3 dayI have 20 cats(most rescue cats) and I have purchased 7 of these warming mats to keep them warm. They all live in unheated sheds/garage and these do a great job of keeping them warm. I bought the larger ones so 2 and 3 cats can cuddle on them. They seem to really enjoy the warmth. I leave them on all the time as there is no off switch. So far that doesnt seem to be a problem.

> 3 dayI have two cats, and I got one for each of them. One, wouldnt touch it (she has longer fur and weighs more, so shes already warm). The other (who is thinner and has shorter fur), absolutely obsessed, even in summer. I gave away the first one for someones small dog, but the one I kept has held up for a couple years and my cat is still found on it pretty much every day. I have to unplug it some days because shell sleep on it even during a heat wave - she seriously spends hours every day on it. Sometimes she pulls her actual bed over and uses it as a pillow while shes on her heat mat. Shes so upset when I have to unplug it after she has surgery/a dental cleaning (because I cant trust her to be able to get up if she gets too warm when shes on anesthesia and pain meds), but the first day I DO turn it on, once shes off her meds, she spends the entire day on it. Im really happy she has something to keep her warm in our Michigan winter, because she is alone at night and I used to worry about if she got too cold... now I only have to worry if the power goes out. The cord is really thick and sturdy. My cat has like two teeth, so she cant chew on cords anyway, so I have no idea how sturdy it is for cats who do like to chew. My other cat is a cord chewer, but she never used hers - and they live sepatately for medical reasons, so my other cat has no access to this one. The orange fabric cover comes off, so it should wash pretty well. So far I havent had to wash it (though I do use a lint brush on it from time to time to remove hair), so I havent taken the cover all the way off and cant comment on how the cover holds up in the wash.. but it has held up since I got it in Feb of 2020. So the big con (which I knew about when ordering so Im not taking stars off for this) - mainly the temperature control, which is.... pretty much none. Its meant to be controlled by weight, so when shes not on it its not really warm, and then it heats up when shes on it. I like that it doesnt stay constantly warm, but it would be nice to have some kind of control. The other thing is, it IS just a mat. Theres absolutely no padding, and I think she would probably prefer if it was a bit softer/padded... but since its on an old couch (nobody uses it except her anyway), its not a big deal. I think theres probably better ones out there if you have a bigger budget, but this is a really decent heat mat and my cat is in love with it. Considering it has a 50/50 success rate with my cats (in terms of liking it), I think its a good option to get if youre not sure if your cat or dog would like a heat mat. But if you DO know they like them, it may be worth it to spend a little more if you can afford it. I originally got them for $20 each, the 12x15 size. The size is perfect for her, she CAN curl up on it but she often likes to spread out and spin around occasionally so that all of her gets warm, which she would have to do regardless of size. Overall, yes I would buy it again, but Id probably try to find one thats a little nicer (heat control and padding) first if it was in my budget. I would DEFINITELY get these if I was fostering several cats or had messy cats that may need it to be cleaned frequently, since cleaning does seem to be really easy with this one.
