Its summer. In Arizona. Well, I decided to give it a trial run any way. Plugged it in, placed the cat on it, 2 slow tail slaps and the purring began. Big stretch, turn the head upside down, cats asleep. We have a winner. Warms quickly, I would suggest placing this in an open bed rather than an enclosed one as it does warm quite a bit. Im kind of excited about winter now, maybe I can get the cat excited about some of the beds we have that he ignores now.

Love it was worried that it wouldnt work not to hot not to cold. Has good length for plugging in.

Took in five 3 week old foster kittens from rescue. They are now 8 weeks old and this pad has been plugged in 24/7 since. It does not get excessively hot. It was a good size for all 5 of them to pile on when they were tiny. Obviously since they got bigger they cannot all fit on it. It was great to keep them warm when the A/C is on and help them learn to regulate their body temp. Always allow a space for them to move off a heating pad. Love the added safety wrap on the cord. I imagine it would hold up well to young puppies. Chewing was not an issue with the kittens once they realized how hard the cord wrap was. Definitely recommend this product!

Heat is gentle and steady. I used it in a cage for a feral cat I trapped and she spent the night on it, kitty approved! The electrical cord is in a spiral which prevents breakage. I highly recommend.

The heating pad looks well made and the cord is heavy duty, however . . it gets too hot, at least for an indoor pet bed. I had it set up in the bed of my elderly dog (with a separate thermostat I bought) to turn on when the room is under 60 degrees, and it gets so hot I find her sleeping on the rug instead. So, its useless to me. Ill get an adjustable one next, instead. . . .

This pet bed warmer is exactly what I wanted. Its 12x15 size fits perfectly inside our dogs bed without being cramped or folded at all, which was of concern to me when I was looking for a heated pad. This pad warms to a single comfortable-feeling pre-set heat in about 5-10 minutes, and our dog seems to really like it. I have checked underneath the pad multiple times for excess warmth, both with and without our dog having been lying on it, and it has never felt so warm as to be worrisome. The cord would resist a fair bit of chewing, but as with anything electric, I would be reluctant to leave it plugged in and accessible to our dog when not home. This pad also has a bright red light at the corner of the pad that is readily visible when it is plugged in, which is another very nice feature. The cover feels a bit thin, but I dont find that particularly concerning. I wouldnt hesitate to buy this product again.

Would not buy it again.. Is way to hard and uncomfortable.

I got this for my cat with arthritis in his hips. As advertised, this keeps a constant warm temperature. My cats arent keen on the feeling of the fabric cover, so I put in under a couple of layers of blanket and both of them love it. Sometimes I sit on it on the couch when its chilly, too. With the pad under me and a cat on my lap Im cozy warm!

I have now used this heating pad continually for a few days and am changing my rating. Even though the heating pad does not have temperature adjustment, so far it has maintained a reasonable and steady temperature for my kittens. I am going to continue to monitor and use this heating pad. This heating pad has the pad and a cord, there is no temperature adjustment mechanism on it. The cord is probably gong to be ok for the small (4 weeks old) orphaned kittens I am going to use it for, but puppies are going to chew through this cord in 10 seconds. If I didnt need it today I would be sending it back, but I need it until I can get something else.

We have an out door kitty and always trying to find cheap ways to keep her warm. Of course it cant be outside where rain can get to it. But we have a box on our back porch with this for her to sleep on and a 25w halogen bulb in a tinfoil covered reflector dish above her. This heat pad solves the catch 22 that the rest have that dont allow putting on a timer with resetting it daily. My kittys box is warmed on a timer at night with only 47 watts between this pad and the halogen bulb.
