I recently started fostering kittens. I am on my second litter of newborn kittens and this heating pad works so well that I just ordered another one. It is well made, has a removable, washable cover and a chew proof cord. It doesn’t get too hot, it just keeps the “nest” the perfect temperature.

My cat got very sick and lost weight. She was getting better, but I’d noticed she seemed cold. Always sleeping in a ball, crawling up to my neck to get warm and sitting on my laptop. I got this delivered today. Put a little catnip on it, to get her interested and she hasn’t left the spot since! Haven’t seen her lay out this comfortably in a while! One star down because it was brown, not blue, and doesn’t go with the decor

I didn’t like anything in this product. Short cord, no temperature control, cover isn’t waterproof. Returning the product.

I am revising my review because maybe it needed more time to heat up the whole surface. My foster kittens do like it after all. It takes some time to heat up. Not a bad purchase after all. I’m raising my star rating. - I just bought this for my foster kittens and I am not impressed because it barely heats up. I also don’tfeel the heat on the edges as much as the center. As listed, there are no heat controls .

This heating pad is everything they say. It maintains a perfect temperature for the animals and we live in snow country. I have it inside our dogs crate, under the cushion and the warmth is perfect. I was so pleased with the first heating pad I purchased I bought a second one for our dogs crate out in my husbands shop. Our dog goes in there for her naps or when she has decided he is making too much noise with his woodworking.

Just got it today. I had to figure out where to put it - somewhere the cord could reach an outlet and and also would appeal to my 12 year old cat. I chose a spot under a table (not her usual stomping ground) and went to get some lunch before I tried to coerce her into trying it. Ten minutes later I came back into the room and she was lying on it. I dont even know how she figured it out but she found it and claimed it as her own.

Used this on top of my chicks bin to heat them, we are off grid so needed something that wouldn’t drain our battery bank overnight. This kept the chicks warm enough. They sell a chick heating pad but wouldn’t have arrived soon enough. This arrived soo and worked just fine.

I bought 2 different brands to try and my cat wont even look at the other one thought its larger and has 2 settings. She is getting older and has arthritis. She has clearly been very happy to sleep on this and when she does get up she looks much less stiff than she had been.

Works phenomenal. The Feral who we bought it for has yet to really leave his shelter, so that must say something. In about a months use it has held up really well and does as described. Stays an ambient temperature with low heat until the cat gets onto the mat and then it proceeds to get warmer.

UPDATE: Its been over a year since my review, and the pad is still going strong, and is still one of his favorite spots to be! God help us if it gives out, I think I may buy a spare, just in case, I dread what would happen! I think its probably his favorite thing that Ive ever bought him. Original review: Our cat, like many cats, usually will reject things we buy him in favor of the box it came in. This winter, though, we noticed he was often upset, crying to us for reasons that werent obvious - it wasnt food, water, petting.. none of the usual things he wanted. Eventually, I wondered if maybe, since hes getting older, he might be feeling a bit achy when it got chillier or rainier. I thought maybe, if he had something warm to curl up with, he might feel better, but I worried he wouldnt ever use it. After searching around here on Amazon through various versions of these pet heating pads, I eventually settled on this one, and when we got it home, I set it up in the corner of the living room hes claimed as his. Ill admit, I totally cheated that first day. I got out his favorite calming blend catnip and sprinkled it on the pad so hed at least TRY getting on it. That did get him to set foot on it, at least. It took about twenty four hours for him to give in. Maybe less. Apparently the lure of this Magical Warm Spot was sufficient to override the natural desire to avoid showing any interest in something bought for him. Hes on it all the time now! Its become one of his default favorite spots to nap. He likes it to the point where if he walks over it, he often seems to forget where he was actually headed and just sort of stop there, looking at first as though hes intending to keep going, but this quickly turns into simply sitting on the pad instead. Whatever else he had on the agenda is rarely as important as the Warm Spot once hes felt it again. Theres no more mystery crying and distress (we are back to the usual demands again) and hes even more playful again, so I suspect he was, in fact, just feeling those very relatable aches when your joints arent as young as they used to be. Hes much happier, we are much relieved that hes more comfortable, and all in all, its been one of the best purchases Ive made in a while. A quick note on cleaning: the cover zips right off and its washable. The fur also vaccuumed off of it surprisingly easily for something with a fuzzy texture. Its also nicely waterproof... He tested that when he drank a bunch of water and then decided he had to get a hairball out. Id say that was a decent test of how cleanable the pad is. It doesnt seem any worse for wear. I rarely say just buy it for a review. But honestly, if our cat accepts it, and it hasnt given us any problems in months, it has to be on the short list of purchases I have absolutely no regret over. He loves it, he feels better, he actually uses it, it didnt cost much at all. I dont know how much more one could ask for.
