My grandson loves these train set. It is easy for his two year old hands to use.

I would like the magnets to be stronger

Super fun and can be used with other train track brands. My son plays for hours with them.

My 20 month old loved opening these for Christmas. He wanted them opened immediately and his is intrigued by the fact they are magnetic. He is still trying to figure out how they work.

Its hard to go wrong with Melissa & Doug, and I feel these trains are a wonderful example of that. Theyre colorful, chunky and easy for little hands to hold onto, the magnets seem to entertain littles to no end, and theyre even entertaining on their own let alone as a whole train set. I was surprised that my (at that point) 18 month old even loved the box they came in! We stick hot wheels and other little toys in the different compartments like its some kind of treasure chest. I cant recommend this train car set enough.

The cars are all too long. When trying to go around a turn the cars fall off the track because each individual one is too long to handle it. Same problem with inclines in the track. Their wheels fit fine into the track though.

My kid loves these. He has name for each of the cars. One problem I have with the cars is that they are pretty big and center of gravity too high causes them to topple on turns.

These trains are great for little hands. They are durable for anyone who is learning how to play with trains and throws them across the room instead. Both boys and girls love this classic toy. I would suggest this toy for 10 months and up!
