The beef I have with Melissa and Doug products is that there is never a cover for the awesome boxes that everything fits so neatly into. Well, we ordered this beautiful train and it arrived damaged because of the lack of cover. It was shipped in a thin plastic envelope, with no passing and none of the trains were in the box upon arrival and it was damaged. Pretty disappointed.

My sons speech pathologist bought these trains and my son loved playing with them at the end of out sessions. When I found them on Amazon I didnt hesitate to buy them. People complained about the size of the trains themselves. I like how their bigger than the traditional magnetic trains though. I love just classic wooden toys kids can pretend with. No batteries needed, you dont have to worry it their BPA and so on. Overall I think these trains are a good quality and would recommend them to others.

I have a three year old who loves vehicles. He loves to throw his cars and believe me, these Melissa and Doug train set is super durable. It also helps him learn the concept of magnetic sides when he wants to connect them. If you have a child who loves trains or vehicles these are beautiful in color and worth every penny.

Best train set for toddlers. It easily links magnetically with one click. My great grandson loves playing with this set while watching Baby Einstein “On the Go” or “California Trains” online.

We packed these as a new toy while on vacation. My two year old loved them! We packed two or three when we left our room and he played with them at meals. Now they are at home on his play rug. It was a good purchase.

These are very nice-looking train set. It has a magnet on its front and back. The colors are nice my kid loves them and plays all the time.

These trains are so fun! They are easy for kids to connect since they are magnets (no tricky little hooks for kiddos) & also come apart easily. I find this creates less frustration in my kids because they know they can put it back together themselves.

These painted wooden train cars were a gift for my preschool son and have held up well in play with his other wooden train set cars and track (Battat, IKEA, and Melissa and Doug). He is not always super gentle so the pieces must be durable. The designs are more detailed than some of his other train cars, so I would definitely consider gifting the set to another child.
