> 3 dayThe beef I have with Melissa and Doug products is that there is never a cover for the awesome boxes that everything fits so neatly into. Well, we ordered this beautiful train and it arrived damaged because of the lack of cover. It was shipped in a thin plastic envelope, with no passing and none of the trains were in the box upon arrival and it was damaged. Pretty disappointed.

> 3 dayThese are well made and so far have survived a very energetic 2 year old. They have enough weight on them to roll well on tracks without constantly falling off. The only negative is that they’re much taller than any other trains we’ve had and do not fit under some bridges.

> 3 dayThese painted wooden train cars were a gift for my preschool son and have held up well in play with his other wooden train set cars and track (Battat, IKEA, and Melissa and Doug). He is not always super gentle so the pieces must be durable. The designs are more detailed than some of his other train cars, so I would definitely consider gifting the set to another child.

> 3 day20 month old grandson loves these. Magnets make it easy for him to attach the cars all by himself.

> 3 dayThis was my 2 year olds very 1st train set, which hes been loving and very excited about! However, he does have trouble keeping the pieces together since the magnets arent all that strong. Also, my son, like me, is very OCD about things... so right off the bat he was very upset/confused as to where the 9th train piece was. I dont think he realized one of the slots had been empty when he first opened it, so when he cleaned up he was very mad that he couldnt find the last piece (which didnt exist). With that said, I think it is VERY dumb to create this toy with 9 slots but only 8 pieces. Either rethink the storage/packaging or simply just add a 9th train car piece!
