> 24 hourA quality dictionary for my 8 1/2-year-old granddaughter who is interested in the origins of words. Great training for learning how to do research. The encyclopedia is next on my list.

> 24 hourI ordered this for my sons 10th birthday--his very first dictionary. I loved the concept of it being child-friendly and thought this may help him understand definitions he normally would not be able to comprehend in a regular dictionary. HE. LOVES. IT. It is so colorful and large enough to be able to clearly read it. The pictures help him understand as well, since he is very visual. Definitely a great buy and I will purchase again when my next child is around the same age!

> 24 hourI love the book. I used it to teach my daughter how to use a dictionary and now when she does not know the meaning of word she can go and find it in the book. I know she can use online dictation but I believe this way teachers her more words.

> 24 hourBecause it has dynamite in it. We struggled with distance learning and I had the idea to get a dictionary for my kid, well because some times it is nice to just do some of the learning off the computer. I ordered two and will be sending one to his dads for when he is there. Bind is nice on these and the color pictures are a nice touch for young learning.

> 24 hourGreat for elementary aged students. The pages are glossy and thicker than my old super-sized dictionary. Some words have pictures - most pages have at least one picture. My kids keep it with their distance learning supplies and are getting used to looking up words rather than expecting me to give them the answer. Its on my top ten school supply list!

> 24 hourOur usual dictionary intimidated my son and the long alternate definitions for some words left him overwhelmed, so we ordered this and thought it would be a great entry level dictionary. It is easy to use and the definitions are short (so that is a plus for usability), but it is missing a lot of words that I think are reasonable to have assumed would be in even an entry level dictionary (for example, words common in current events or science). It is turning out to not be that useful to us, because many words that my 8 year old needs help with are not in this dictionary. It might be more appropriate for my 6 year old learning to read.

> 24 hourBeautiful dictionary. Full of color and letters are big and legible. Has all the words my 4th grader needs to find. Sometimes I use it as well. I looked everywhere for a dictionary we could both read easily. So glad I chose this one instead of a traditional dictionary for school.

> 24 hourMy grandson loves reading and he reads above his age so he needed some word help. The book is terrific with plenty of interesting side lights to help a reader expand their vocabulary. Pages are handleable by a 7 year old, no ripping or tearing.

> 24 hourAwesome dictionary that’s bigger than what I imagined it to be; not a pocket type. My 8 year old was very excited to look up many words and loved the colorful pictures. I read the reviews and unlike some, there were no misspelled words, words out of order, or looks as though the dictionary was used. I’m perfectly happy with this purchase.
