Greater than one weekI bought this for my son who is heading into 5th grade and it is perfect. It is extremely easy to use and understand and I wish we had bought it sooner. I expect hes going to get a lot of use out of it and then the next couple years.

> 3 dayWhile supervising my 8 yr old twins’ remote learning I noticed their teacher would often tell her students to “look it up”. That meant turning to Google. The girls and their mother looked askance at me about this on Christmas morning. Later though they reported actually using it for school and browsing through it to find topics for reports. Though I was hesitant at first to give these little techies such an analog gift, it has turned out to be successful!

> 3 dayI purchased this for my son to challenge him to look up unfamiliar words. This has made him a better student and a more solid reader. He now takes his time when reading and will immediately stop to look up words if he is unaware of the definitions. He doesnt attempt homework without it.

> 3 dayIt is well organized and easy for kids to use. My daughter loves looking at the pictures. But there are words missing that you would expect in a childrens dictionary. Why isnt the word leprechaun in there?

> 3 dayThis dictionary is a hardcover. The book is a nice size and gas weight to it. I dont know why that thought it was acceptable to package this item in a bag for delivery with no padding or Cushion. My daughters book arrived damaged, which over rime will become worse. After a brief skim, I like the way dictionary is set up. A great addition to my daughters bookcase.

> 3 dayNot as great for 5th grade as it would be for younger grades... a lot of my students tried using it for our vocabulary units but most of the words aren’t in it. Other than that, it’s very sturdy, well organized, and easy to read! It was a great resource to teach my students how to use a dictionary! I still keep it in my classroom.

Greater than one weekThis dictionary is nice for elementary kids. Font is a good size for them to read easily and the pictures are nice. However, I have found basic words are not included in this edition. For example, my daughter wanted to look up recreate. All that was in the book was recreation. How do you not include recreate? Basic words and root words should be included to help young students.
