> 3 dayOur usual dictionary intimidated my son and the long alternate definitions for some words left him overwhelmed, so we ordered this and thought it would be a great entry level dictionary. It is easy to use and the definitions are short (so that is a plus for usability), but it is missing a lot of words that I think are reasonable to have assumed would be in even an entry level dictionary (for example, words common in current events or science). It is turning out to not be that useful to us, because many words that my 8 year old needs help with are not in this dictionary. It might be more appropriate for my 6 year old learning to read.

> 3 dayThis dictionary is a hardcover. The book is a nice size and gas weight to it. I dont know why that thought it was acceptable to package this item in a bag for delivery with no padding or Cushion. My daughters book arrived damaged, which over rime will become worse. After a brief skim, I like the way dictionary is set up. A great addition to my daughters bookcase.

> 3 dayI like it very much. I bought it for my 9 years old grandson. When he see a word and he ask what does that word mean. I tell him to get the dictionary and he will look it up. He loves to read so he use it alot. Worth the price. Its big and when his younger siblings are older they can use it.

> 3 dayI bought this for my nine year old and its the best decision I made, the dictionary is perfect its not small like the other dictionaries and the pictures are an added benefit. The errors previously mentioned have been corrected because I dont see them in this copy and the word compass is spelled correctly in my copy. I would recommend it for anyone searching for a good kids dictionary.

> 3 dayGreat for elementary aged students. The pages are glossy and thicker than my old super-sized dictionary. Some words have pictures - most pages have at least one picture. My kids keep it with their distance learning supplies and are getting used to looking up words rather than expecting me to give them the answer. Its on my top ten school supply list!

Greater than one weekIt is well organized and easy for kids to use. My daughter loves looking at the pictures. But there are words missing that you would expect in a childrens dictionary. Why isnt the word leprechaun in there?
