Esta es una excelente opción para niños de entre 7 y 12 años. Este diccionario ofrece imágenes que van acorde con los conceptos descritos en cada página. Es de muy buen material y por lo que veo durabilidad.

Remember when you asked for help looking up a word and your parent said, Go look it up in the dictionary! ? This is a good tool to have at home especially for 2nd + as they need to learn how to use a dictionary... per state standards. Came promptly and was new.

I purchased this for my son to challenge him to look up unfamiliar words. This has made him a better student and a more solid reader. He now takes his time when reading and will immediately stop to look up words if he is unaware of the definitions. He doesnt attempt homework without it.

This version was printed July 2021. I have looked for the misspellings and missing pages. Those have been corrected. It’s a beautiful children’s dictionary. There is at least one picture on every page.

This book has proven valuable even with a few words missing (no dictionary has all the words, does it?) However, we are using this for homeschool purposes and imagine my surprise, while teaching about writing and Columbus and the Taino people, that the words “rhetoric” and “indigenous” (respectively) do NOT exist in this book. I don’t fault anyone- it’s not like the entire English language could ever fit in here, however, the word “tweet” (as in the tweets you add to your Twitter account) IS listed, so I’m left wondering who prioritized social media over other words. It is still a valuable resource- my children are learning how to research, investigate, critique, and question articles and their “sources”. Today’s journalists don’t even do that today it seems, and my kids are 7 and 4. For that, I’m giving it 4 stars. I’ll review my opinion in a year if anything else surfaces.

Because it has dynamite in it. We struggled with distance learning and I had the idea to get a dictionary for my kid, well because some times it is nice to just do some of the learning off the computer. I ordered two and will be sending one to his dads for when he is there. Bind is nice on these and the color pictures are a nice touch for young learning.

I bought this book for a third grader and it is very colorful and easy to read. Clear and concise definitions. Each alphabet is color coded which is helpful to find words.

Seemed to be missing words that normally a child would want to know the meaning of. The next purchase will be a full adult dictionary. I might even get wild and go unabridged!
