> 3 daySo far everything is working great with this unit. I have it setup with pfsense, adblocker, and intrusion detection, and its been stable and fast. I pay for 200/10 Mbps internet and on my old router it would boost up to around 250-260 Mbps, now it boosts past 600 Mbps during speed tests. This could definitely handle a 1 gigabit connection with ease whereas most off the shelf routers probably cant. I like that its also future proof with the 2.5gbe ports, now I just need to find an affordable 2.5g switch to pair this with.

> 3 dayAll started when boot usb drive of my mighty Edgerouter lite died, so when looking for suitable replacement for the usb drive I came across pfsense. pfsense looked like the right solution so I decided to give it a try and ended getting this PC. It’s CPU supported AES-NI instruction and since it has the third generation of intel 2.5 nic cards, this sound like a nice box. The box itself came pre-installed with pfsense, but I re-installed the machine from scratch for my piece of mind.

Greater than one weekPopped 2 sticks of RAM for a total of 32GB into the barebone version (Corsair Vengeance Performance... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08GSS6FLK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) and it booted right up from a usb stick with opnsense. I installed on an old intel 180GB ssd drive I had already. SSD mounts nicely inside and cable was provided which is great. Stays warm at about 58C but this seems expected. This thing is a beast so far. Using it with Orbi RBR50 mesh network in AP mode. Works great. Also have a DMZ raspberry pi webserver isolated. Working on getting 1Gbps Wireguard VPN working.

> 3 dayPurchased for use with pfsense. In reply to the single three star review saying you cant install pfsense: The current 2.6 Community Edition (CE) does not support the new intel i226 NIC used in this box, however the latest version of pfsense+ does and can be upgraded to for free from the community edition. Its a bit of a pain, but youll need a USB NIC to act as a temporary WAN to allow 2.6 to fully boot, then upgrade to pfsense+ at which time the internal i226 NIC will be recognized and work as expected.

Greater than one weekFirst unit had no video output, but customer service was quick and sent me another unit practically next day. Was worried it was going to take time coming from China, but I got the replacement within the week. New unit works beautifully. Thank you!

> 3 dayReceived the first unit, had some issues installing an OS on the system. Crashed during boot, crashed during install, never would complete install. During troubleshooting it was found that the RAM was bad. Reseating the RAM didnt help, unit was received DOA.
