> 3 dayThere are so many things to like about the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3. The fit and finish, the awesome 3:2 touchscreen display, quite fan, snappy performance, etc. It looks and feels like a premium laptop.

> 3 dayIts been 5 months I have been using this surface laptop. All good. Until recently, a weird issue surfaced. So this laptop unlike others out there doesnt come with a Power Button, instead its put together in the keyboard as a Power Key. That felt convenient and unique to use in the initial days. Now comes the problem.

> 3 dayI am a Mac user. But, I was having a terrible time using Microsoft word on my Mac. It was impossible. So, I was forced to purchase an additional laptop in order to complete a massive writing project. Microsoft Surface Laptop is so easy to use. I havent even gotten all the accessories yet, and I absolutely love it. It has features of an iPad with the flexibility of a laptop. It is lightweight and very user friendly. I might very well become a windows user after all.

Greater than one weekTo what extent is a company obligated to provide high quality products, even those not explicitly under warranty? After 6 months of general use (taking it in and out of my backpack, placing it on the coffee table, typing, etc.) the screen cracked. The location of the crack and lack of physical damage elsewhere on the computer (the frame isnt bent or scratch) prove the computer was not dropped or mishandled in any way. The screen was made of glass incapable of withstanding general use, and Microsoft is unwilling to replace a defective product because of the type of malfunction it had. A screen crack, regardless of how it occurred, is not a type of breakage their warranty covers, yet they made a screen of a material so fragile it can crack under the lightest of strain.

> 3 dayDo not purchase from the Microsoft Surface line unless you want to have to replace your laptop annually. Twice (literally within weeks of the expiration of my warranty) my Microsoft Surface entered a boot loop. Microsoft initiates an update, which sends the Surface into a loop upon startup. The logo flashes several times, but the device never turns back on. To remedy this, you have to purchase another device. This has happened to me twice, and I refuse to purchase another Microsoft laptop. Search YouTube for “Microsoft Surface Boot Loop” to see all the videos of people stuck in this same situation.

Greater than one weekJust got my Surface Laptop 3 in platinum finish, 15 inches - it works great, superb sharp color screen, seems to be improved keyboard, perfect touch - I bought this because my previous XPS died when the battery overheated and expanded, killing the XPS. I have a Surface Pro 3 which I used as a backup and portable when I needed mobility.

Greater than one weekHeres the reality, the product is about impossible to work on, anything goes wrong, goodluck... The price is crazy high which wouldnt be so bad if the laptop was customizable internally. The fact is you will need to ask yourself, is this going to still be good and upto date in technologys standards by 10 years, I doubt it.
