> 3 dayIf you are trying to make the difficult decision between the new Microsoft Surface 3 or the Macbook Pro, you have come to the right place. As a college student who plans on going into finance, I recently had to make the same decision for freshman year, I purchased the Microsoft Surface three. Now, let it be known that I have had an Apple MacBook Pro for the past three years. I love my mac, and always will. It is aesthetically pleasing, simple, uncluttered, has a fingerprint reader, the new touch bar, and seamlessly integrates with my other Apple products (iPhone, AirPods, apple watch, etc.). However, for college students, I have found that the pros of the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 outweigh those of the Apple Macbook Pro. Both laptops are very portable; however, the Surface is a tad more, weighing in at 2.83 pounds and dimensions of 0.7 by 11.9 by 7.5 inches, compared to the Macbook Pros 3.1 pounds and dimensions of 0.61 by 12 by 8.4 inches. The Macbooks retina display beat out that of the Surface, coming in at 2,560 by 1,600 pixels vs. the 2,256 by 1,504 pixels that the Surface offers.

> 3 dayI purchased the Microsoft Laptop 3 for work and in only a year I experienced hardware issues. I sent it to Microsoft and they were unable to repair my original laptop and sent me a refurbished one as a replacement. After only a year of using the refurbished laptop, I went to turn it on one day and the screen was completely black. It wouldnt turn on and after some time consulting the tech team at Microsoft it was again a hardware issue. This time though due to my laptop being outside of the warranty they wanted me to pay to fix it. I explained my case and submitted a request for a new laptop and I was still denied. When I received my refurbished laptop replacement I wasnt even offered a warranty. So now Im left with the most expensive paperweight Ive ever purchased and lost several files I hadnt backed up yet since I wasnt expecting a laptop that was only a year old to crash. Needless to say, I will not be paying Microsoft more money to fix a laptop with hardware issues that they refuse to replace. This will now be my third laptop in 2 years. Incredibly disappointed with not only the quality of the device but the quality of service I received. If I could give this review a zero I would.

23-11-2024Biggest waste of money i’ve ever spent. The bluetooth doesn’t even work, any wifi i used didn’t improve the speed. Youtube didn’t work at all on here neither does hulu. Don’t buy this computer it should be around $45. Cheapest thing ive ever bought.
