> 3 dayBe aware that the battery needs to be worked in, it may take up to 2-3 weeks for the battery to reach peak performance and usage ability! I recommend Pure Battery on the Microsoft store to monitor this! The only reason i bring this up is I have seen other buyers post that they have returned the product after a short time of having less than optimal battery performance. This products battery must be worked in. Otherwise, this product is absolutely amazing and amazes me every time I pick it up!

Greater than one weekI bought my laptop from amazon and I started having issues with my laptop almost within the month my screen started going black, fuzzy, and over heating. Amazon wouldnt replace the product. I bought the Asurion insurance and instead of giving me a gift card for my purchase, they replaced the motherboard. They did this even after telling me they would give me a gift card to replace my item. Keep in mind I bought my laptop in June and didnt open it until august when I started school. The problem only got worse and I kept having trouble and everyone had me between Amazon, Microsoft, and Asurion. At the end, I still have my so called new laptop with a replaced motherboard. Microsoft will only give you a refurbished if theres a hardware issue. Youre better off buying the product from BestBuy and price matching. At least at BestBuy you can get direct help in person at your local store instead of having to mail in your computer and just wait. I have spent over 20 hours dealing with customer service for this brand new computer that has already been repaired.

> 3 dayIve had the MS Surface Laptop 3 for three months now. There are some things I love about it, particularly how fast it starts up, but Ive also experienced a range of issues that I wouldnt expect for a laptop of this price. Most notably, the screen has uneven lighting (most noticeable when looking at an all white background) and the audio and video are frequently out of sync. For these reasons I wouldnt recommend this model laptop.

> 3 dayI have had 4 of these. 3 have developed cracked screens and Microsoft could care less. Micro soft cusrtomer service is the worst I have ever experienced. First, it takes 10-14 days to get a repair/replacement, so unless you have a bunch of extra devices laying around with all of your stuff loaded, you will be SOL. 2nd, they will replace a defective device with a defective device, and once ytour warranty runs out, you are again SOL, since the warranty only goes back to the original purchase date. Stay away from any hardware put out by this once great company. As a former fanboy, this pains me to say.

Greater than one weekBeware of the Magnetic connection power cord connection. It failed within a couple of months. Customer service was very slow to resolve my problem, I had to purchase a cord to use for the 3 months of waiting for their replacement. Incidentally the purchased power cord magnetic connections also failed. Now, several months later, my computer just went out of the one year warranty by 11days and it is on the way to my company IT people because it appears the touchscreen has failed. My first and last Microsoft laptop purchase.
