Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 – 13.5 Touch-Screen – Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory – 1TB Solid State Drive – Matte Black

I bought the matte black 13.5 inch, i5 with 256gb of storage, 8gb of RAM from Best Buy. $200 off on a sale for a new laptop was pretty attractive.

I purchased this machine because I recently purchased several Native Instruments plugins for use with my application copy of Fruity Loops. My old computer was struggling to even eek out a full measure without crackling or stuttering, so it was time.

I love it but all the ads say 11 hrs of battery life and I only get five. Otherwise amazing computer.

So very easy to set up and enjoy!

This laptop is amazing. Lots of power in a very small form. I got the i7, 13.5, 16gb ram with the 256gb drive. Bootup is very fast due to the use of the SSD drive. These drives do not have any moving parts and are essentially just a large high speed stick of memory which allows them to really speed up any PC. This laptop will handle just about anything you can throw at it. Nice and light and feels good to the touch. Cant get over how thin it is. If you need a small form factor laptop that has a lot of power than this is the laptop for you.

Ive used Microsoft computers for many years, and bought my first Surface Laptop in 2017 and absolutely loved it. It was used daily for work (from home) and while I took great care of it, I put it through a lot of use and it held up wonderfully. By mid 2020, it had started randomly turning off and freezing up so often that it was a problem, so I decided to buy a newer Surface Laptop and retire the old one.

I am very pleased with my purchase. It serves both my business and personal needs well.

Be aware that the battery needs to be worked in, it may take up to 2-3 weeks for the battery to reach peak performance and usage ability! I recommend Pure Battery on the Microsoft store to monitor this! The only reason i bring this up is I have seen other buyers post that they have returned the product after a short time of having less than optimal battery performance. This products battery must be worked in. Otherwise, this product is absolutely amazing and amazes me every time I pick it up!
